trainer in COMPUTER SYSTEMS SERVICING NC II this morning I will be demonstrating COC 2 on
how to conduct Competency Assessment.
After receiving the Appointment letter appointing me as an assessor in COMPUTER SYSTEMS
SERVICING NC II, I visited the assessment center and verify if the center is conducive for
assessment, the presence of the tools and equipment if they are complete, functional and in good
condition. I also inspect the presence of the PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and the OHS
(Occupational Health and Safety).
Before the assessment I received from the TESDA Representative the following Competency
Assessment Tools.

10 copies of Specific Instruction to the Candidate
1 copy of assessor’s Guide
1 copy assessor’s Script
4 copy of attendance sheets
I also have with me there application form and the self-Assessment Guide.

- Good morning everyone my name is ______________________ and I am your
competency assessor for Computer Systems Servicing NCII.
- And I would like to acknowledge the presence of _____________ our representative
from TESDA provincial office. good morning sir and ma’am,
- You didn’t have to worry about his/her presence. They are just here to oversee the
conduct of assessment and to check if the conduct of assessment is in accordance
with the prescribed competency assessment methodology and procedure.

This is an indication that you know and can perform all the unit of competency
enumerated for (Computer Systems Servicing NCII).
- I would like to welcome all of you to our center for your assessment for Computer
Systems Servicing NCII. The purpose of our assessment for Computer Systems
Servicing NCII is to determine the level of your competency.
- Today I am going to administer competency assessment for Computer Systems
Servicing NCII the qualification for Computer Systems Servicing NCII is composed of
basic, common and core competencies.
- For our core competencies we have the following:
Install and configure computer systems.
Set-up Computer Networks
Set-up Computer Servers
Maintain and Repair Computer Systems and Networks
- We will collect evidences through demonstration, oral questioning.
- To determine your knowledge and skills for Computer Systems Servicing NCII the
assessment method we will use, will be demonstration and, oral questioning these
assessment methods can help to measure your under pinning knowledge and skills .
- For your personal needs the lavatories located at the end of the hallway and you can
also take your meal at our canteen it is located at the lobby. However during the
assessment you are not allowed to leave the premises of the assessment center.
- Do you have difficulty understanding the given instruction please do not hesitate to
inform me because we are willing to translate it for you.
- If you have concern questions and there’s a need to you to clarify matter concerning
the assessment you may raise your hands because I am more than willing to asses you
but one the assessment has started please refrain from asking questions it is no longer
allowed in the same token during the assessment if you have physical or any form of
difficulties do not hesitate to call my attention so that we can address it immediately.
- Encase you have any questions regarding the assessment result you have the right to
appeal. You can submit your appeal to the TESDA provincial office or the assessment
center were the assessor are accredited.
- For the issuance of the National Certificate the AC manager shall inform you were
you can claim your National Certificate with in five (5) working days after the
assessment.
- After the assessment and found you are not competent don’t worry about it because
you can be reassess anytime at you own convenience in case the reassessment is full
qualification you have to undergo the whole assessment process if you are found
competent in some unit of competencies the reassessment shall focus in the unit of
competencies or you are found to be not yet competent. Also if you failed two
consecutive assessment you will be advice to undergo a refresher course before
applying for reassessment.
- During the actual assessment please observed safety as you perform the different task
make sure to check on your electrical equipment before plugging it, avoid pulling the
cord as you unplugged the equipment observed body mechanics when lifting heavy
equipment to avoid back injuries.
- in case of accident please call my attention immediately so that we can provide first
aid and should the need arise our first aid cabinet located on the right side of the
Computer Systems Servicing Workshop.
- With regards to the result of your assessment we observed strict confidentiality. This
is to ensure your integrity the result is only made available to authorized personnel
and to the institution were you had your actual training. In relation to this the
assessment package is kept in a secured place to guarantee the integrity of the
assessment package. In lieu above may I ask all candidates to refrain from giving away
any form of information that took place during the assessment process?

required core competency, furthermore you are not confident in answering the
question during the oral questioning.

- _________u were able to identify the different part of the computer actually you’re
very good at it. However you’re not able to configure the server properly especially in
file redirection.
- Based on the result of my observation during demonstration the outcome of the
assessment is that you’re not yet competent. However you can be reassess any time
at your convenience.
