Abstract - Tin is formed as the primary deposite of granitic rock and at the metamorphic rock touch area which is usually
associated with tourmaline and quartz tin veins. The tin ore gene is derived from liquid magma containing cassiterite (SnO 2). The
intrusion of granite rock surface causes the pneumatolitic phase (F and Cl gases carrying elements of Sn react with meteoric
water) resulting in ore minerals such as tin ore. These minerals accumulate and associated in granite rocks or other rocks intruded
into primary tin ores.

Primary tin abundance has the potential to be mining in related areas. The primary tin mining plan in East Belitung Region by
open mine, the mining stage will be done by following the decrease of pit elevation. Overburden stripping method and ore taking
is planned with mechanical tools due to low material hardness level and declared economical using mechanical tools. Location
area of 224,359 m2 with overburden volume 8,129,844 m3 and tonnage ore 3,542,210 tons, then stripping ratio of 2,3 BCM / ton.
Pit mining will be done at elevation >25 to -80 mdpl with production target of 50 ton / month and production value is calculated
equal to 14,033 ton, so the life of mining for 23 years.

RESULT AND DISCUSSION

From the collar and assay data processing (as well

as some other supporting data) using micromine
software it is seen that tin ore is not far from the
surface.

The beginning of mining activities is carried out by

land inspection and land clearing at pit locations and
then removal of top soil and overburden and ore
mining. The planned disposal area and processing
equipment are in the Northest mining pit deep 1.4 km
from the front of the initial mining. Mining carried
out from the Northest because there is access and
coverage to ore processing area and disposal area.
