Notes
• The Price Quote Record Time Limit is determined by the length of time entered in the Price
Quote Record Expiration Table.
• This time limit is created at the time of PNR End Transaction and is not changeable.
• Price Quote Record Status will be changed to Expired (X) when it no longer meets requirements
for ticketing.
• The Expired Price Quote Record is retained for informational purposes only.
• If there are no items in the PQ Expiration Table, all of your airline’s PQ records will expire at end
transaction. You must add at least a SYSTEM default to prevent this situation.
Use this format to add a system default item to the Price Quote Expiration Table. The system applies
the system default if no other PQ expiration in the table applies.
It is extremely important to add a system default to the PQET table. If you do not, any PQ records
that do not up match up to an existing expiration will expire at end transaction.
Example entry:
PQETA/SYSTEM/////3

Element Details
DYS DYS = days. This indicates the number of days before the Price
Quote expiration will occur at midnight TUL (Central U.S.) time.
0 - Today at midnight
1 - Tomorrow at midnight
Minimum and maximum days are 0-330 only.
Maximum 3 numeric characters (optional-default blank).
HRS HRS (Hours) describes the number of hours before a Price Quote
expiration will occur. This can be in addition to a value in DYS
and/or MIN fields.
Enter 0-99 only or leave blank, maximum 2 numeric characters
(optional field, the default is blank).
MIN MIN (Minutes) describes the number of minutes before a Price Quote
expiration will occur. This can be in addition to a value in DYS
and/or HRS field. A 0 in this field, with the DYS and HRS fields
blank, represents immediate expiration.
Enter 0-59 only, or leave blank. Maximum 2 numeric characters
(optional field, the default is blank)
The System default must be the first item added to the table. It will always move to the
bottom of the table as you add additional items.
There is a maximum of 999 items you can add to this table.
• Add an expiration of 330 days to a specific flight range for agent and reissue priced PNRs.
PQETA/400/FLT/RANGE/499/FLT/330///AR
Use slashes in place of missing elements if later data elements are to be populated.
In this example, the user excluded the HRS and MIN elements. Using the slashes in the entry
provides a blank space for these elements in order to specify the PQ type.
If the user did not want to specify PQ type, the entry would have looked like this:
PQETA/400/FLT/RANGE/499/FLT/330
• Add an expiration of 12 hours to the system for system and reissue priced PNRs only.
PQETA/SYSTEM//////12/30/SR

BOOKING CODE TABLE
The system adds new items to the table as the last line regardless of item type. You cannot insert
items between lines.
An I type item in the PQBT table keeps a PQ record active when the class of service is changed.
Use this entry to add upgrade items to the Booking Code Upgrade Table. This enables staff to
reactivate the price quote record when a passenger upgrades from one compartment to another. The
reactivate requires the entry: PQAUP
The presence of this item in the table does not keep a PQ active, but allows the PQAUP reactivation
format to work.
