1. What is the programme about? What does it aim to achieve?

To fulfil the demand for Big Data Professionals in Malaysia, PEOPLElogy in collaboration with YAYASAN PENERA-
JU have designed Big Data Analytics Training & People Development Programme to enable young Bumiputera
scholars in advancing both their career & income level. Due to the lack of Big Data skill set in Malaysia, companies
are hiring from other countries such as United States where there are more candidates with this qualification. Big
Data stands in the top three trends impacting the job industry in South East Asia. By 2018, it is expected that more
than 50% of organizations will compete using advance analytics.
This is in line with Yayasan Peneraju Pendidikan Bumiputera’s objective which is to enhance Bumiputera capabilities
that will lead to high income employment through quality education and certifications.

2. Who is the programme for?

This scholarship is for working Bumiputera adults with working experience of 1-3 years.

3. What is unique about this programme?

Yayasan PENERAJU will not only fund 80% of the training fees, assessment and certification fees - in addition,
there will be continuous monitoring and coaching sessions provided to enhance scholars understanding on Big
Data Analytics. Additionally, soft skills will also be provided to aid students in enhancing their emotional intelligence.
In certain circumstances, the 20% fee will be waived and 100% scholarship will be provided. **

4. Is this a payable or a sponsored programme?

Both the programme category are sponsored 80% by Yayasan PENERAJU with another 20% payable to the
programme organiser (PEOPLElogy Development) upon successful application into the training.
The above conversion or other reduction in amount to pay is subjected to Yayasan Peneraju’s discretion.

5. How long is this programme for and what are its components?
The programme comprised of 3 months (weekend classes) of training with up to one year of continuous monitor-
ing and coaching.

6. ‘Nurture and Develop’ is one of Yayasan Peneraju’s promise in all its programmes. Where does it lie in
this programme?
‘Nurture and Develop’ will be embedded within the programme in the forms of mentorship, soft skills training/en-
hancements and exclusive access to Big Data Community.

7. How about employment? Will there be employment as part of this programme offering?
No, employment is not part of the programme. This training is applicable only for working adults however, you’re
able to apply once you receive any job offers. Priority will be given to eligible candidates who submit registration
form with all supporting documents.

8. How many spots is Yayasan Peneraju offering under this programme?

The final number of scholarships that will be offered is subject to the quality and calibre of the qualified candi-
dates’ pool we receive each year.

9. Would I be bonded with my principal company or Yayasan PENERAJU after I have finished the
programme? If yes, how many years would the bond be in effect?
No. Scholars who have completed the programme will not be bonded by Yayasan Peneraju. However, scholars
are required to work in the graduated data analytical field for at least 1 year.

10. Am I required to commit to any kind of official contract/ agreement?

Yes. An official offer will be made and scholars are required to enter into a Sponsorship Agreement with Yayasan
Peneraju.

11. If I receive another loan/scholarship, am I still eligible to receive Yayasan Peneraju’s sponsorship?
No. Only one sponsorship is allowed at one time.

12. Would I be able to reject the offer if I am shortlisted?

Yes, as long as the program’s Letter of Offer has not been signed and delivered to Yayasan Peneraju.

1. Where is the venue for the training?

The training venue will be held in PEOPLElogy Training Center, The Boulevard Office, Mid Valley City, Kuala Lumpur. All
selected scholars must be able to attend the training in selected venue.

1. How do I apply for this programme?

Apply via PEOPLElogy’s website (for eligible friends/family) or submit the registration form at the back.

2. What should I do after applying for this programme?

You will be contacted by Yayasan Peneraju’s programme partner to submit the documents. Only candidates that meet the
requirements and complete the documents will be informed by Yayasan Peneraju’s programme partner to attend the
interview and assessment sessions.

1. Is there any assessment for the selection? What is the structure of assessment?
There will be interview session held for selected Bumiputera candidates who meet the application requirements for the
programme.
