meta deseada, objetivo o resultado.
ENGLISH
Iteration: It means repeating a process several times with the intention of reaching a
desired goal, objective or result. Each repetition of the process is also called an
"iteration," and the results of an iteration are used as a starting point for the next
iteration.
Convergence: Property of two or more things that conclude at the same point.
Property of successions that tend to limit.
Stability: The concept of stability designates the quality of a situation in which some
regularity is being maintained, regardless of whether it is dynamically or statically.
Approach: It is an inaccurate representation that, however, is faithful enough to be
useful.
Significant figures: The significant figures of a number are those that provide some
information. They represent the use of one or more uncertainty scales in certain
approaches.
Bias: The difference between your mathematical expectation and the numerical
value of the parameter you estimate is called bias of an estimator. An estimator
whose bias is null is called unbiased or centered.
Relative error: The relative error of a measure is the ratio between the absolute error
of the measure and the actual value of the measure. The relative error is usually
expressed in%.
Absolute error: It is the difference between the value of the measurement and the
value taken as exact. It can be positive or negative, depending on whether the
measurement is higher than the real value or lower (the subtraction is positive or
negative).
Truncation error: These are due to the omission of terms in a series that has an
infinite number of terms. Of course we cannot use all the terms of the series in a
calculation, because the series is infinite; then, the omitted terms introduce a
truncation error.
