are many reasons why English is so important. One of the reasons is that English is spoken as the

and tourism. English is used for these purposes in most countries. English is considered the
business language. English is the official language of the United Nations. English is also the
official language of airlines and airports. All airline pilots that fly to other countries must be able
to speak English. So if English is considered the business language and accounting as a language
of business therefore accounting and English is connected by the factors that innovates our
society. Of all the skills required for success in today's business market, a strong command of
the English language is a must. If you want to improve your communication skills, English will
be at the foundation of that training. If you want to close sales, persuade people or lead your
employees, your proficiency in English will be one of your greatest assets. Also, if you plan to
expand your business to other regions of the world, you're going to find that English is going to

jobs in more countries than ever before in human history. Even 20 or 30 years ago, having a
strong grasp of the English language was not as important as it is today. In the past, English
was required in global companies only for senior management. Today, companies' clients and
suppliers, their technical support teams and their own management can be spread across
several countries. The actual number of multinational companies in the world is difficult to
estimate. One of the most recent surveys was completed in 2016 by EF Education First, which
showed a 25 percent increase in the number of multinationals over the previous 10 years. In 28
non-English-speaking countries, 70 percent of the companies surveyed reported that English
was important to their business, while 11 percent stated that it was the main language. The
disparity in English proficiency among industries has been narrowing, with the gap between
the highest and lowest industries reduced nearly by half. Companies are investing more in
English training, more adults are learning English on their own and more people are able to use
English in the workplace. Some of the top industries relying on English, with fluency between
50 and 60 percent.
 For the past days, our teacher in English for academic professional purposes have
been teaching about criteria in evaluating sources, writing a position paper, parts of a position
paper, and report writing. All of these are useful for our professional journey in ABM strand
because there are students who want to become a successful business man, accountants, flight
attendants and entrepreneur and the information that we have learned in this subject can improve
us as an ABM student not only us ABM student but also at different strand. That is why it is a
core subject in the curriculum of K-12. For example as an Accountant They have to prepare
financial statements to determine if a business is growing, in preparing different statements for a
business an accountant must have knowledge in English to disseminate the exact information to
the stockholders if it is a company or even if it is just for a sole proprietor because English is
already the medium used in transactions or documents in business matters. EAPP will help us to
be professional in writing documents to be formal and exact in the information that we want to
be.

As our conclusion we believe that EAPP is very important for us students in our
journey to become professionals someday. It will help us to improve our communication skills in
writing and speaking in our jobs and also it helps us to express our ideas and thoughts. EAPP
plays a very important role in every ABM student’s life because it will help us to develop our
listening, communicating and writing. EAPP will help us to use the English language in a proper
way and in the near future we can realize that EAPP is one of the subject that help us to reach
our goal in life.
