Play your role in Life with such passion, that even

after curtains come down, the Applause doesn’t

stop…., XIMB
This has been the mantra in the life of Mr. Aditya Birla. For over 50 years
now, the Aditya Birla Group has engaged in impactful, welfare-driven
activities in India and globally. The Aditya Birla Group works in 5,000
villages, reaching out to 7.5 million people annually. Over 60 per cent of
these people live below the poverty line and belong to marginalized and
vulnerable sections of society.
Their empathy towards customer needs and wants and desire to cater to
the same is their main reason for incessant success. Recently, they took
initiative to cater to the needs of rural India by providing power supply and
they orchestrate the purpose through a novel scheme – by supporting
women in self-help groups to set up Solar Urja Lamp (SoUL) assembly
units. About 1,000 women and youth have become solar entrepreneurs –
they are trained to assemble, distribute and repair the solar lamps.
These kinds of initiatives taken by ABG Group deeply stimualed me to
contribute to the society. I accomplished the same by becoming a member
of Lion’s Club where we commenced an eye hospital in Patiala district
through which we cater to the underprivileged rural population. The various
world class clinical services, for instance using Phacoemulsification
techniques for treating cataract, are provided at very nominal prices. The
hospital also provides door to door services to elderly people in nearby
villages.
I really look forward to actively contribute to the communities in which we
reside as Aditya Birla group has been doing unfailingly from so many years.

Nobody is Perfect….,XIMB
Nobody is Perfect. Neither am I. I have my own fair share of mistakes
which even though I regret, have played a key role in shaping my
personality.
To begin with, earlier I don't use to gather my courage to accept that I have
committed a mistake.I want to be a flawless person and in the process of
doing so, in curtaining my mistakes in front of others, I lost the camaraderie
I use to share with my best friend. Basically, I cheated in one of my exam
and secured All India Rank- 49, while my family and friends were going
gaga over it, my happiness surely had no bounds, the thought of earning
my parents appreciation took over me and eventually I became prey to the
ceaseless cycle of deception.
She somehow knows the truth and confronted me about the same. And I
became defensive about it and unabashedly went on questioning her
loyalty to the friendship, went onto blaming her jealousy as the reason for
losing credibility in our friendship. Unsurprisingly, our friendship took a toll
that day.
But when I came back to my senses, I took up the challenge of mending
the damage that had been done. I had to fight with my ego, my inner devil
and finally, mustered the courage to sincerely apologise to her and my
family for my wrongdoings and vowed to never repeat that again. Now, this
virtue has become deeply engrained in my personality thatis helping me
fostering my personal and professional growth.
