SUBJECT: ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY FOR CLASSROOM TEACHERS

AND SCHOOL HEADS: A MODULE ON STRENGTHENING ENGLISH
LANGUAGE COMMUNICATION IN PHILIPPINE CLASSROOMS

DATE: September 7, 2018

1. Recognizing the critical importance of sturdy English language foundation of teachers and school
heads in the effective performance of their duties and responsibilities, the Schools Division of
Oriental Mindoro, through the Curriculum Implementation Division, will conduct a live-out
training on English Language Proficiency for Classroom Teachers and School Heads: A
Module on Strengthening English Language Communication in Philippine Classrooms on
September 28 – October 1, 2018 at the following venues:

a. Puerto Galera National High School – for participants from Puerto Galera, San Teodoro,
Baco and Naujan,
b. Gloria Gymnasium – for participants from Victoria, Pola, Socorro, Pinamalayan, Gloria
and Bansud, and
c. Roxas Central School – for participants from Bongabong, Roxas, Mansalay and Bulalacao.

2. Participants in this training are all interested elementary and secondary school teachers, school
heads and teacher-applicants. Each participant will be charged a registration fee of P2,700 to cover
training fees, materials, food, venue and other related expenses. Expenses of SDO-Oriental
Mindoro employees participating in this training may be charged to school / local funds subject to
usual auditing and accounting rules and regulations.

3. Being accredited by the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC), this training entitles its
completers to avail of 15 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points.

4. Wide and immediate dissemination of this memorandum is desired.
