SSC professors Atutubo and Atun represented the Sorsogon State College at the 2019 International Academic Forum (IAFOR) in Japan. Atutubo presented a paper on the personal and professional qualities of SSC faculty. She was also a session chairperson, leading discussions on teaching and learning. The IAFOR conference provided an opportunity for researchers to network, explore ideas, and develop partnerships from around the world.

It was the 10th ACAH held on March 29-31 in Tokyo with the theme “Reclaiming the Future.”

This particular conference provides
venue for the researchers to expand networks and partnerships. It was a fertile ground for the exploration of ideas, synergies and research partnerships. Proudly representing the Sorsogon State College with the research entitled, "Personal and Professional Qualities of SSC Faculty", Dr. Atutubo, receiving her certificate of appreication after her presentation. professors Virginia Pinca-Atutubo and Martiniano S. Atun Jr. were given the chance to be a presenter and an audience participant oin the said PHOTO BY MARTIN R. SMITH conference.
The design of the presentations was patterned into parallel
sessions. Prof. Atutubo was also given the chance by the IAFOR to lead the Sunday Session 1, dated March 31 under the Teaching and Learning category. As the Session Chairperson, she was tasked to lead the presentation and assume the facilitation of the proceedings from laying the ground rules, to the introduction of the researchers. She was also tasked to moderate the questions raised every after each research presentation. In attendance were audience-participants from the different countries in the world such as United States, Estonia and Taiwan.
Atutubo presented a qualitative study highlighting the skills
and traits manifested by most SSC instructors. By this, she proves that the quality of education, stems not just from each teacher's passion for the profession but the constant effort to improve oneself.
