II. Project Background

Danlag National High School, the only secondary school in the community has
been long delivering quality education and has produced numerous graduates
since 2004. Since its establishment, different administration paved way into
developing the physical facilities of the institution through construction and
maintenance of different projects with the end of improving the conduciveness of
the school to learning.
The different endeavours of the various administrations focused in the
improvement of the school facilities. Due to limited financial assets, for the past
15 years, the school has constructed only two spans of concrete wall on the front
portion of the school which hold the school gate. What separate the school from
other the farms, is only the fences made from bamboo splits which has to be
replaced annually.
Due to the absence of a more sturdy and permanent fence, the school
becomes a shortcut passage of the farms owners around the vicinity. At times,
farm animals are pastured in the school grounds and gardens.
 III. Objectives
The project proposal is an answer to the mentioned problem of the school.
The administration believes that the concrete fence in the front portion of the
school will not only improve the aesthetic beauty but will also be a big help in
securing the school’s vicinity from by passers and unwanted visitors. Specifically,
the project aims to:
a. Construct a concrete perimeter fence in the front portion of the school,
b. Eliminate the cases/instances of by passers or entry of unknown visitors,
and pasturing of animals inside the school grounds,
c. Improve the aesthetic beauty of the school, and;
d. Secure the school vicinity.

IV. Technical and Financial Information

The perimeter fence is 140 meters down from the gate and an additional 50
meters going up. (see attached pictures). In total, there is a total of 200 meters. In
one span of concrete fence, the length is 6 meters. Each span costs 6, 000.00
Pesos. In 200 meters, there will be total spans of 34 concrete perimeter fence.
The mode of construction will be pakyaw agreement.
The fund will be coming from the Barangay Development Fund of the
Barangay Danlag Council. The utilization of the fund will be dependent on the
jurisdiction of the council.

V. Monitoring and Evaluation

Member of the Monitoring and Evaluation team of both Danlag National High
School and the Barangay Danlag Council will be closely working on the project.
Regular monitoring of accomplishments and evaluation of work will be
conducted by the two parties. This is to ensure the efficiency of the construction
and in the proper utilization of fund.
