Linda Malolos

TH
60 SURPRISE BIRTHDAY
ENTRANCE OF THE CELEBRANT
Former US President Abraham Lincoln once wrote, “In the end, it’s
not the years in your life that count. But the life in your years.”
Today is a celebration of both the years and the life of Linda
Malolos.
Good morning everyone, I am (Name of emcee) and I will be your
host for this day.
All of us gathered here have been a part of Linda’s life- one way
or another. Kung baga, memory lane ang theme natin tonight as
we reminisce the good 60 years Linda has shared with us. Today
is all about you, Linda (Ngayong araw din po ay sinicelebrate
Because
today, we celebrate you.

GRAND INTRODUCTION OF THE CELEBRANT- Linda Malolos
Born on March 11, 1955 in Ilocos Sur to Ma’am Natividad and Sir
Benjamin Boado, our celebrant is the eldest of 6 children. He
attended Ramon Magsaysay High School and went to Mapua
Institue of Technology for college where he took up Bachelor of
Science in Civil Engineering. He is a board exam passer which
formally granted him the title of Civil Engineer. Growing up, our
celebrant has been very hardworking. In fact, he stood as both the
father and the eldest brother to his siblings when their father
passed away.
mahahanap, sa bahay or sa trabaho, although we are yet to
confirm this later. After graduation, Engineer Ed taught at Mapua
as a Professor of Surveying as his first job. Currently, he is the
Vice President for Operations in Oreta Constructions, Inc. Being as
dedicated to his family and career, our celebrant deserves this
night to celebrate his special day with people who matter to him.
Friends and family, let us once again welcome, the man of the
hour, ENGINEER EDWARD BOADO!

OPENING PRAYER

Nephew- Mr. Kristian Boado
To start our celebration, I would like to call on one of the
nephews of Engineer Ed, Kristian Boado to lead us in the
opening prayer.
[PRAYER]
Thank you Kristian.

WELCOME TOAST

Brother- Engineer Fernando Boado
Engineer Fernando to welcome us to tonight’s events and to give
dito.
[TOAST]
Thank you for that speech, Engineer Fernando!

SONG NUMBER FROM ANNABEL’S BAND

Now people say that the most widely known language in any
part of the world is music.
We
have with us tonight, _____________, to serenade us and to bring
back memories of yesteryears.
Please put your hands together for ______________.
But thank you very
much ____________. I’m pretty sure madaming memories ang
We
shall hear more of their amazing sound later.

PRAYER BEFORE DINNER

Niece- Ms. Raizel Ocampo
But for now, we proceed to one of the most important parts of
this celebration: enjoying each other’s company over good food
prepared for us by Annabel’s-DINNER. And so, to lead us in the
prayer before meals, I would like to call on stage, Raizel
Ocampo. A niece of Engineer Ed.
[PRAYER]
Thank you, Raizel!
Before we proceed to the buffet tables, Engineer Ed will be going
around tables to have their pictures taken with our celebrant.
Para po mas maayos at mas mabilis, we will divide the area into
two. While the
other half, you may approach the buffet table after Engineer Ed
has taken a photo with your group.
Thank you and bon appetite, everyone!

Audio Video Presentation c/o Engineer AJ Lazaro
Since tonight is all about you Engineer Ed, your family and friends
prepared a little something for you. Hindi man nila araw-araw
nasasabi sa’yo kung gaano ka nila na-aappreciate, now that it is
your birthday, they have the opportunity to let you know how they
feel about you being their brother, their uncle, their officemate.
Everyone, please direct your attentions to the screen for this
audio-visual presentation prepared by Engineer AJ, a nephew of
Engineer Ed.
[AVP]
See Engineer Ed, tonight, you are surround by people who love you.
But aside from those that are in the video, we have with us here
tonight other people na gusto nila, personally ka nila ma-ggreet.
niyo and dahil po birthday naman ni Engineer Ed and everyone here
is very eager to know more about him, pwede niyo po siyang
ipahiya ng konti sa mga kwento niyo. So basically, magttoast tayo to
all the good things and ang pagkwento niyo ng mga unknown facts
about Engineer Ed ang roast part.
MESSAGES TO THE CELEBRANT

Cousin- Neng Boado
First we have one of Engineer Ed’s dearest cousins. She
works for SGS Gulf Limited since 1990. Siya daw po ang
pinaka-bibo sa mga magpipinsan. Ladies and gentlemen,
Ms. Neng Boado.
[SPEECH]
Thank you, Ma’am Neng!

Best Friend from MAPUA- Fe Manalo
Now, from an outside perspective, to give her messages to
our celebrant, we have Engineer Ed’s best friend from way
back college days. She is currently teaching Physics in
Immaculate Concepcion School for Boys and has been friends
with Engineer Ed for almost ___ years, Ms. Fe Manalo.
[SPEECH]
Thank you, Ma’am Fe!
ako. It is really good to have yourself surrounded by good
friends that stand the test of time.

Best Friend from Office- Engineer Ricardo Khan
From college days to office days, Engineer Ed’s officemate and
best friend from Oreta Constructions Inc. is here to share with
Engineer Ed. Having known each other from sometime,
Engineer Ed considers our next guest as one of his mentors in
the work place. Please welcome, Engineer Ricardo Khan.
[SPEECH]
Thank you, Engineer Khan!

Game 2: HENYONG ED
Since birthday mo, Engineer Ed, ikaw naman ang
ilalagay naming sa hotseat. Don’t worry, kayang kanya mo
ang ipapagawa namin sa’yo.

MESSAGES TO THE CELEBRANT

Kumpare- Engineer Artemio Santos
We have another engineer to greet our celebrant our
happy birthday in the person of Engineer Artemio Santos.
He is another “BFF” and a kumpare of the celebrant.
(Baka sa kanya natin malaman if sa bahay and office lang
ba talaga si Sir Ed).
[SPEECH]
Thank you, Engineer Santos!

Nephew- Engineer AJ Lazaro
Being successful, Engineer Ed has been an inspiration to
many. Especially to one of his nephew- Engineer AJ Lazaro.
Engineer AJ is an Electronics and Communications Engineer
from Ateneo de Manila University. Sobrang idol niya si
Engineer Ed, he also taught like Engineer Ed after
graduation. Currently, he is taking up his Masters Degree
also in Ateneo de Manila.
[SPEECH]
Thank you, Engineer Santos!

Good friend- Engineer Jhun Artificio
Narinig na po natin how Engineer Ed is as a brother, a
cousin, an uncle, a friend, now, we have Engineer Jhun
Artificio, who is Engineer Ed’s shock absorber- malalaman
natin sa kanya bakit, to give his messages to the celebrant
to share with us who is Engineer Ed in the workplace.
[SPEECH]
Thank you, Engineer Santos!

Niece- Richelle Boado

BLOWING OF CANDLES
As in every birthday celebration, we have the blowing of the
candles. May I request Engineer Ed’s family to join him onstage as
we sing him a happy birthday.
ADLIB
WORDS FROM THE CELEBRANT
from the celebrant himself. I would like to call our celebrant,
Engineer Ed, for a few words.
[SPEECH]
Thank you, Engineer Ed!
According to famous John Lennon, you should “Count your age by
friends, not years. Count your life by smiles, not tears.” With that
said, if we do count Engineer Ed’s age by his friends and by the
smiles he paints on peoples’ faces, hindi lang siguro siya 60 years
old ngayon. Siguro 100 na. Ngayong gabi po, nagkaroon tayo ng
pagkakataon to celebrate life and all its blessings. From tonight,
we see another year in Engineer Ed’s life filled with happiness,
love and joy surrounded by his family and friends.
Again, HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY ENGINEER EDWARD!
And once more, I am Patricia Bonifacio, at your service. Thank
you everyone for gracing this event with your presence and good
evening!
