1. Installation

1. SmartSIZER installation
• This software is used to select an applicable motor type by considering mechanical characteristics and operating condition setting.
※ Users may choose SmartSIZER for either F Series or S (H, L) Series motor type, respectively.

1.1 Program file installation


• As you may see below, choose the type of SmartSIZER file, which corresponds to your motor type, and install it.

※ Users are required to install SmartSIZER***F when using F type motors. They need to install SmartSIZER***S when using S, H, L type motors.

• Let us explain to you with the example of using F Series (SmartSIZER***F).

2.1 Program implementation


• Set as “SI” in the system of units selection and choose the mechanical structure which corresponds to the real equipment’s
characteristic (vertical structure, horizontal structure, ball screw, belt, etc.) in the application field section.

• There are 2 parameter areas to select a motor’s capacity, that is, “Machine parameter area” to determine mechanical characteristics
and “Speed parameter area” to define motor’s movement characteristics.

3.1 Machine parameter setting


• There exists difference in the parameter items to set in accordance with each machine’s mechanical characteristic.
