Sir,

We have been informed that the authorities concerned are presently proceeding with the demolition
of some E.D.C houses made with asbestos and cement, which has been identified to be extremely
hazardous.

We are hereby requesting that a National Monitoring Committee be instituted for the proper follow
up of same and that the C.T.S.P amongst other be part of the structure.

You are surely aware that the C.T.S.P Technical staff were invited for the “deamiantage de l’usine
Beau Plan” which today is known as the “Le Musée du Sucre”

Our technical contribution in the above requested committee would be of non-negligible

importance and it would be most appropriate to have holistic approach as to where, how and
when asbestos containing materials will be removed.

We firmly believe that a road map ought to be discussed and approved while taking on board other
places such as Princess Margaret Orthopedic Centre (Candos Hospital) which has building
structure made of asbestos cement
