MEDICAL RECORD STAFF

I. MEDICAL RECORD OFFICER

1. Supervise and ensure the efficient functioning of Medical Record Department


(including Central Admitting and Enquiry office) that includes supervision,
administrative control, correspondence, internal and external dealing with all vital
events occurring in the hospital, e.g. Birth & Death Registration, Medico Legal Court
Matters, information providing to national & international agencies, parliament
questions, RTI, Amendments, Insurance claims, audit and teaching to junior staff.

2. Dispose medical Legal cases on behalf of Medical Superintendent and Heads of


Department in the Courts of Law, Delhi and outside.

3. Develop, analyze and technically evaluate clinical records.

4. Supervise development of secondary records (i.e. indices of various types).

5. Supervise preservation of medical records.

6. Supervise development of statistics.

7. Co-operate with all other departments in matters of records.

8. Maintain files of different subjects dealt by the department.

9. Scrutinize statistical return compiled by junior staff.

10. Forward statistical returns to Competent Authority.

11. Conduct and participate in the training programmes of the department.

12. Supervise weeding of old records.

13. Conduct Monthly Death Review meetings.

14. Use HIS and other software as needed/instructed.

15. Maintain cleanliness of person and dress.

16. Wear white coat while on duty.

17. Assist in measures directed towards management of mass casualties and disasters.

18. Assist and perform tasks as when directed by Controlling Authority.

II. SENIOR MEDICAL RECORD TECHNICIAN

1. Preserve medical records in systematic manner.


2. Compile data and secondary records (indices etc.) from records.
3. Prepare statistical reports.
4. Review medical records to ensure presence of all components.
5. Code diseases as per ICD 10 and surgeries according to accepted classification.
6. Maintain indices.
7. Prepare daily hospital census.
8. Analyze statistics.
9. Compile monthly and annual statistical reports.
10. Compute rates, percentages, etc.
11. Scrutinize birth and death reports received from various wards.
12. Take records to courts.
13. Attend to medico-legal work as under:
14. Receive medico- legal registers from the Casualty Medical officers when such
registers are complete.
15. Get those medico-legal reports which are left incomplete by the doctors, duly
completed in all respects.
16. Prepare a list of all those medico-legal reports which are not completed in spite of
personal efforts, doctor-wise and submitting the same to DMS for necessary action.
17. Issue medico-legal reports to the police authorities as and when required.
18. Provide assistance to Police Officials in obtaining X-ray films and other documents
required by them.
19. Attend courts and produce records there, as and when summons are received.

20. Keep all medico-legal documents in safe custody. Perform duties of Junior Medical
Record Technician as and when directed by Controlling Authority.
21. Participate in the training programmes of the department.
22. Perform duties of MRO as and when directed by Controlling Authority.

III. JUNIOR MEDICAL RECORD TECHNICIAN

1. Perform all the duties at the Reception in the Central Admission Counter as well as
Enquiry Counter during the night and as and when directed by Controlling Authority.
2. Register all births and deaths online and issue correction letters thereof.
3. Do hospital Census work, viz.:
4. Collection of daily ward and OPD census reports.
5. Tallying number of admission recorded in the wards with the duplicate copies of
admission advice.
6. Collection of records of discharged patients after ensuring that they are complete.
7. Preparation of consolidated Hospital Census Report.
8. Any other related activity.
9. Assemble Medical Records of discharged patients according to a specific order.
10. Type daily discharge list.
11. File Medical Records of discharged patients.
12. Retrieve Medical Records.
13. Maintain Medical records systematically and neatly.
14. Assist Senior Medical Record Technician in statistical analysis.
15. Assist Senior Medical Record Technicians with any other work assigned by him.

17. Do typing work of the Department.

B. LABORATORY STAFF

I. SENIOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANT

1. Perform all duties of a Lab Technician.


2. Communicate in a professional and courteous manner with patients, families and
medical personnel, as necessary, to obtain information, explain procedures, clarify
orders and communicate status.
3. Act as person in charge as well as resource person/role model as per prescribed
guidelines or as determined by Laboratory Incharge. Monitor quality control, quality
assurance, safety and infection control practices to assure compliance with internal
and external regulation.
4. Assist the HOD in supervising the work of technical staff in different divisions/
sections of the department.
5. Assist in deployment of Technical Staff (Lab Technician and Lab Assistants working
in the laboratory). Monitor workflow, assess staffing levels and reassign as needed
with approval of HOD.
6. Maintain stores/stock and maintain all prescribed registers along with Maintenance
Contracts records up to date and assist the HOD in procurement of departmental
requirements and correspondence regarding maintenance, repair and upkeep of
equipment.
7. Perform all sophisticated investigations in the field of clinical laboratory medicine
and maintain quality control and standards of procedures
8. Be vigilant against misuse of lab materials, equipment and reagents.
9. Supervise lab inspection work as needed.
10. Supervise Collection Center and store.
11. Provide advanced problem solving, troubleshooting, interpretation and consultation.
12. Follow up to ensure that all assigned work is completed.
13. Maintain laboratory manuals and supervise maintenance and upkeep of laboratories.
14. Assist the HOD in maintenance of leave record and posting of staff etc.

15. Ensure that Universal Precaution equipment is readily available and are being used
by the staff.
16. Look after Bio-medical hazards and Bio-medical waste management and ensure that
equipment and processes for the same are in place.
17. Follow and ensure that others follow appropriate universal precautions and hospital

18. Utilize HIS and other software as needed/instructed.

II. LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

1. Collect samples according to test requested, either directly by vein puncture or skin
punctures, maintain responsibility for patient identification, specimen labeling and
collection verification and instruct patient or healthcare providers in collection and
preservation techniques for urine, sputum, stool, scrapings, autologous or directed
donations or other specimens for analysis.
2. Operate and maintain different types of instruments and equipment used in medical
laboratory.
3. In Clinical Pathology and Hematology, perform various investigations like urine and
stool routine & microscopic examinations, Hemoglobin, TLC, DLC, ESR, Platelet count
and indices to rule out anemia, leucocytosis etc. and other body fluids examinations
etc. and give reports with his signature.
4. In Biochemistry, perform tests to assess various organ functions and biochemical
values and give reports with his signature.
5. In Histopathology and Cytopathology, receive samples/slides from the OT and FNAC
section, label them and assist in grossing and do embedding, preparation of paraffin

blocks and section cutting, processing for slide making, staining, and mounting, as
needed. Provide data for reporting of results to the Pathologist and maintain records
of slides and reports. Act as Museum Curator and prepare surgical specimens for
display, including mounting and labeling, help in photo-micrographic work, index
surgical specimens, maintain and furnish the museum and compile statistical data etc.
6. In Microbiology, receive various hazardous specimens and keep them at appropriate
temperatures and prepare different types of media for bacterial growth. Sterilize
equipment used for testing, do culture and sensitivity tests for specimens and
participate in identification and reporting of different types of bacterial growths.
Make smears and assist in microscopic examination, wherever possible, to rule out
various types of infections. Do tests based on antigen-antibody reactions, ELISA etc.,
to rule out HIV, HbsAg, HCV, various STD causative organisms, TORCH etc. He has to
give reports with his signature.
7. In Blood Bank, perform blood grouping, cross matching, Direct and indirect Coombs
tests etc. Separate blood components and prepare blood bags of all fractions and
whole blood fit for transfusion. Screen donors before blood donation and give reports
with his own signature.
8. Assist in Post-Mortem examination.
9. Prepare and ensure quality assurance of culture media, chemicals, reagents, stains
and solutions, as appropriate.
10. Evaluate collected lab data and prepare reports assessing accuracy, completeness,
timeliness, progress, adverse trends and give appropriate recommendations.
11. Maintain sufficient inventory of materials and equipment for performance of duties
and clean and maintain standard lab equipment.
12. Process samples for special investigations.
13. Participate in the development of new medical procedures and techniques and
conduct training programmes on hospital waste management etc.
14. Maintain stores/stock and maintain all prescribed registers along with Maintenance
Contracts records up to date and assist the HOD in procurement of departmental
requirements and correspondence regarding maintenance, repair and upkeep of
equipment.

15. Sterilize and maintain glassware by autoclaving.
16. Check efficiency of autoclaving of instruments, linen etc. in CSSD.
17. Look after Bio-medical hazards and Bio-medical waste management and ensure that
equipment and processes for the same are in place.
18. Supervise work of Junior Technical staff.
19. Maintain record of all investigations done.
20. Prepare dispatch and distribute reports of outdoor and indoor patients.
21. Compile statistical data.
22. Perform rotational duties as assigned by Controlling Authority.
23. Look after the work of Senior Technical Assistant as and when directed by Controlling
Authority.
24. Look after the work of Laboratory Assistant as and when directed by Controlling
Authority.

III. LABORATORY ASSISTANT

1. Collect specimen samples as assigned. Number and check specimens received for
testing against requisition forms.
2. Identify, arrange and prepare specimens, reagents and solutions for testing.
3. Take specimen according to test requested, either directly by vein puncture or skin
punctures, maintain responsibility for patient identification, specimen labeling and
collection verification, or instructing patient or healthcare providers in collection and
preservation techniques for urine, sputum, stool, scrapings, autologous or directed
donations or other specimens for analysis.
4. Perform routine tests, analysis and provide other technical support services in all
departments of the laboratory independently or under supervision of a technician, if
needed. Responsibilities include operation, cleaning and simple maintenance of
technical equipment used.
5. When assigned to Phlebotomy, clean the area of puncture site with disinfectants and
distends veins using rubber or any other tourniquet.
6. Receive, number and process samples for routine investigations by operating
analyzers and microscopic examinations.
7. Make all type of smears like sputum, blood and body fluids smears etc, fix slides, and
do different type of staining, like AFB, H&E staining etc.
8. Clean, wash and prepare glassware or materials for sample collection.
9. Sterilize and autoclave materials
10. Keep records of results.
11. Clean and maintain all laboratory testing equipment.
12. Maintain cleanliness of laboratory
13. Assist Laboratory Technician.
14. Assist in bringing the laboratory reagent, equipment etc from stores.
15. Look after the work of Laboratory Technician as and when directed by Controlling
Authority.

C. BLOOD BANK STAFF

I. BLOOD BANK TECHNICIAN

1. Ensure cleanliness of the department.


2. Get the glassware, equipment, table etc. cleaned.
3. Receive blood samples for grouping and cross matching along with requisition forms
from wards/OT/Labour Room etc. and do grouping and cross matching of all blood
samples for routine and emergency cases and issue matched blood as and when
required.
4. Perform grouping of all voluntary donors, bleed donors, do labeling and perform tests
for HIV, STS, HbsAg etc., document, store and issue blood.
5. Perform HIV and other tests on blood received from other hospitals, if needed.
6. Do Rh factor and Coomb’s test wherever required and maintain records.
7. Assist in and do separation of various blood fractions and ensure their proper storage.
8. Issue infusion sets to all the departments of hospital as demanded.
9. Maintain stores/stock and maintain all prescribed registers along with Maintenance
Contracts records and keep them up to date and assist the HOD in procurement of
departmental requirements and correspondence regarding maintenance, repair and
upkeep of equipment.
10. Prepare monthly/annual indent and arrange for reagents, equipment etc. from stores.
11. Prepare monthly report.
12. Monitor the work of Blood Bank Assistants and guide them in performing blood test
through newer techniques.
13. Perform duties of Blood Bank Assistant as and when directed by Controlling
Authority.
14. Perform rotational duties as assigned by Controlling Authority.
15. Look after Bio-medical hazards and Bio-medical waste management and ensure that
equipment and processes for the same are in place.
16. Ensure that Universal Precaution Kits are readily available and are being used by the
staff.

II. BLOOD BANK ASSISTANT

1. Carry out tests required for transfusion on both donors and recipients and maintain
the related records.
2. Carry out routine phlebotomy in the laboratory and wards when ordered by
Controlling Authority.
3. Carry out all investigations allotted to the person by Controlling Authority and for
which the person is trained, and maintain proper documentation of results.
4. Ensure that samples and reagents are collected and stored properly.
5. Bring to the notice of superiors any positive or negative result where special attention
is required.
6. Enter all reports in registers meant for the purpose and ensure proper maintenance
of the same.
7. Be responsible for the care, custody, proper maintenance and storage of all the
equipment and stores under his custody.
8. Ensure good working order and thorough cleanliness of the delicate and valuable lab
equipment under his charge and see that they are kept in safe custody under lock and
key when not in use.
9. Report to superiors any breakage, loss or discrepancy in equipment or store.

10. Maintain cleanliness of the work place.
11. Clean, wash and sterilize instruments.
12. Prepare media stains, distilled water and standard solutions and correctly label and
store them.
13. Assist Lab Technician.
14. Prepare patient for any special examination required to be carried out.

D. OPERATION THEATRE STAFF
I. SENIOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANT
1. Report to duty ahead of time to ensure timely start of cases.
2. Responsible for general administration, supervision and maintenance of discipline of
OT Assistants, OT Technicians and Senior OT technicians with regard to their
regularity, punctuality, leave and delegation of work and sort out problems at various
work places apart from providing guidance in functioning of OTs and ICUs.
3. Ensure indenting of all types of anesthetic and ICU equipment and drugs and
distribution to various work places.
4. Ensure that a malfunctioning item/equipment is brought to the notice of the HOD and
company engineers promptly so that corrective/ repair work can be carried out at
the earliest.
5. Ensure that surgical and OT/ICU equipment including OT tables, electro- cautery, OT
lights, medical gases pipelines etc. are maintained in a functional state along with
sterilizers, auto-claves, anaesthetic endoscopes and peripheral attachments of all
other endoscopes, including light source etc. and their log books maintained properly.
6. Maintain stores/stock of material and equipment and maintain all prescribed
registers along with Maintenance Contract records and keep them up to date and
assist the HOD in procurement of departmental requirements and correspondence
regarding maintenance, repair and upkeep of equipment.
7. Bring to the notice of the Controlling Authority and other concerned authorities any
short supply of essential drugs and items of daily use.
8. Assist in measures directed towards management of mass casualties and disasters by
organizing pre-hospital care, safe and secure transportation in conjunction with
rescue teams and OT technical staff.
9. Ensure that the various work places are periodically cleaned and disinfected and
measures taken to maintain sterile conditions in every workplace as per results of
bacterial/ fungal cultures.

10. Ensure that the medical gas pipeline unit, oxygen concentrator, air compressor plants,
vacuum units and liquid oxygen tanks etc. are properly working and operational and
look into their safety considerations.
11. Periodically carry out checks to ensure proper maintenance of records at each
workplace.
12. Make arrangement for regular cleaning and sterilization, as required, of anesthetic
circuits, endotracheal tubes, laryngoscopes, laryngeal mask airways, endoscopes
used by Anesthesiologists, peripherals of other endoscopes like cameras, light
sources, infusion pumps and patient warmers etc.
13. Daily check ICU and OT fixtures, eg. OT Tables, lights, gas supply system, suction
bottles and electric sockets for proper functioning.
14. Take adequate precaution against fire and other hazards
15. Keep the emergency outfit up-to-date and in good working order in the theatre.
16. Supervise the arrangement of patients’ trolleys and transfer of patients to and from
the operation theatre.
17. Ensure that tables are thoroughly cleaned and sterilized before the next patient is put
up for surgery.
18. Ensure sterilization of gloves, linen and instruments with high speed autoclave in the
operation theatre when needed.
19. Maintain all relevant registers as instructed.
20. Maintain all catalogues and relevant papers of all equipment and special instruments
being used in the OT/ICU.
21. Assist with correspondence regarding OT technical staff.
22. Do duties of Senior OT Technician as and when directed by Controlling Authority.
23. Assist in measures directed towards management of mass casualties and disasters.
24. Follow and ensure that others follow appropriate universal precautions and hospital
waste disposal rules and regulation.
25. Utilize HIS and other software as needed/directed.

II. SENIOR OT TECHNICIAN

1. Report to duty ahead of time to ensure timely start of cases.


2. Assist Senior Technical Assistant in administrative work and to carry out his functions
in his absence.
3. Responsible for general administration and supervision of OT Technicians, OT
Assistants and other junior staff with regard to their regularity, punctuality, leave,
delegation of work, sorting out problems at the workplace apart from providing
guidance in performance of various procedures.
4. Ensure that the equipment and articles of daily use are stored safely and are in
working order and drugs are available and issued in adequate quantity in each area.
5. Ensure that all emergency outfits are in functioning state at all times.
6. Carry out pre-operative check of all anaesthetic drugs and Anaesthesia workstation
and their peripherals, OT table, patient monitors and all other essential equipment.
7. Check equipment, notify faults to the supervisor in charge and take corrective
measures (i.e. repairs by company certified engineers, rechecking of repaired
equipment in the presence of company’s engineers to ensure minimum down time
and maximize efficiency)
8. Learn about every OT/ICU and endoscopic equipment at his workplace and do minor
repairing or change of any defective part and ensure that all the equipment is stored
safely after use at designated places.
9. Responsible for maintenance of log book showing details of individual ICU/Anesthetic
equipment serial numbers, item, year of purchase, list of accessories, price of item.
This would exhibit details of repair work carried out, annual maintenance contract,
with amount details bill numbers/receipts etc.
10. Indent all anesthetic drugs and equipments from store and issue it to different
OTs/ICUs as per requirement.
11. Maintain Utilization/item usage register of all expensive/controlled drugs, inhalation
agents, epidural sets, tracheostomy sets, double lumen endobronchial tubes, O2 flow
meters, suction units, CVP lines, CVP manometers, Transducers, Pressure Monitoring
lines etc.

12. Arrange/supervise operation of high speed sterilizers, and autoclaving units for both
surgical items and anesthetic equipment in the ICU, or OTs by OT Technicians and OT
Assistants.
13. Arrange/supervise cleaning and chemical sterilization of those items, which cannot be
autoclaved by OT Technicians and OT Assistants.
14. Arrange/supervise cleaning and sterilization of OTs and ICUs and ensure proper
washing and disinfection of OTs and ICU to ensure asepsis.
15. Train OT Technicians and OT Assistants with respect to various OT & ICU procedures
and functioning and maintenance of Medical Gas Pipeline and Vacuum System Units
etc.
16. Periodically apprise the Controlling Authority of any development or problems and
remedial measures taken.
17. Maintain stores/stock and maintain all prescribed registers along with Maintenance
Contract records and keep them up to date and assist the HOD in procurement of
departmental requirements and correspondence regarding maintenance, repair and
upkeep of equipment.
18. Responsible for all aspects of maintenance and use of electronic/sophisticated
equipment in ICU, when posted there.
19. Look after all aspects of maintenance, use and other work of all monitors, wall units,
electronic and other equipment in ICU/CCU when posted there.
20. Perform rotational duties as assigned by Controlling Authority.
21. Perform duties of Senior Technical Assistant as and when directed by Controlling
Authority.
22. Perform duties of OT Technician as and when directed by Controlling Authority.

III. OT TECHNICIAN
1. Report to duty ahead of time to ensure timely start of cases.
2. Must never leave the OT during surgical procedures, until the time the patient is
shifted to Recovery/ICU.
3. Supervise the work of OT Assistants.
4. Ensure that the workplace is clean and disinfected and sterilization of equipment is
done properly by OT Assistants.
5. Ensure that all equipment is cleaned and ensure sterilization of the same.
6. Ensure that all electrical points are functioning, extension boards are working and
electrical suction units are in working order.
7. Ensure that anesthetic machines/workstations monitors, breathing circuits and
accessories are in perfect working order.
8. Ensure sufficient number of medical gas cylinders are readily available and checked
for adequate pressure.
9. Ensure that pipelines for medical gas and vacuum are in order.
10. Ensure that emergency drugs tray/cart is checked and kept ready for use. Check
expiry dates of drugs and replace as and when required.
11. Keep resuscitative equipment ready.
12. Check the patient intubation kit/trolley prepared by the OT Assistant for all necessary
items.
13. Check the anaesthesia machine for presence of all anesthetic drugs, Magill’s forceps
syringes, needles and labels.
14. Check storage of adequate amounts of intravenous fluids plasma expanders. Assist in
arranging for blood and blood products, intravenous sets, blood transfusion sets etc.
15. Provide spinal/epidural sets, local anesthetic drugs along with stainless steel trays
for administration of regional anesthesia.
16. Help Anaesthesiologist in IV insertion, drug loading, during laryngoscopy, intubation,
extubation and reversal of anaesthesia.
17. Supervise and assist in patient positioning for Regional Anesthesia.
18. Provide guidance and assist during positioning of the patient prior to the surgery,
during surgery and during transportation.

19. Ensure proper functioning and positioning of OT lights during surgery, checking of
electrocautery machines and foot pads (Bipolar and unipolar leads, with proper
earthing).

9. Ensure that intubation trolley must have appropriate sized endotracheal tubes (as
per patient’s requirement), laryngoscopes (checked for good light), airways, Magill’s
forceps, packing roller gauze, sterile gauze pieces, suction catheters, stylettes, bougies
and supraglottic devices along with accessories.
10. Keep all anesthetic drugs to be used in the case on the anesthesia trolley. A stainless
steel drugs tray should be kept on the anesthesia machine with adequate number of
syringes and needles. All loaded syringes should be properly labeled.
11. Keep intravenous fluids, intravenous cannulas, three way stop cocks, scissors,
adhesive tapes, spirit, antiseptic lotions readily available in adequate quantities.
12. In case the Anesthetist decides to give regional anesthesia, make available sterile
stainless steel epidural/spinal trays and local anesthetic drugs along with
appropriate disposable spinal/epidural needles/sets and epidural catheters. Must
help in proper positioning of the patient during administration of regional anesthesia.
13. Make proper positioning of the patient before, during and after the surgery and
during transportation of the patient to the post operative recovery area or ICU.

I. SENIOR PHYSIOTHERAPIST

1. Responsible for general administration, supervision and maintaining discipline of


Physiotherapists and other junior staff posted to the department with regard to their
regularity, punctuality, delegation of work and sorting out problems at various work
places apart from providing guidance under the overall supervision of Controlling
Authority.
2. Supervise and carry out various physiotherapy treatments (including bedside) for
indoor and outdoor patients as ordered by doctors. Seek clarifications and discuss
treatment options with the doctors. Refer patients who require any other medical
attention.
3. Assist patients with joint and spine problems, especially following surgery.
4. Help in rehabilitation of patients following accidents, injuries and stroke.
5. Bring to the notice of the doctor, patients who are not responding to treatment, non-
cooperative or irregular in attendance.
6. Maintain a daily record of assessment, treatments and rehab progress. Write patient
case notes and treatment summaries.
7. Educate and advise patients and their caregivers about how to prevent and/or
improve conditions.
8. Develop and review treatment programmes.
9. Work closely with concerned doctors’ team in decision making of surgeries, exercise
prescription and indications- contraindications.
10. Promote quality of life by working close with other Rehab Professionals to design
short- term and long – term rehab goal for patient.
11. Use physical/ electrical modalities and exercises for improvement in strength, joint
integrity, flexibility and mobility in patients with orthopedic and neurological
condition.
12. Provide individualized rehabilitation to patients with cardiac and pulmonary

15. Ensure proper utilization of equipment and see that the equipment is kept clean,
properly maintained and is not mishandled.

17. Maintain stores/stock of equipment and materials and maintain all prescribed
registers along with Maintenance Contract records up to date and assist the HOD in
procurement of departmental requirements and correspondence regarding
maintenance, repair and upkeep of equipment.
18. Ensure smooth functioning of equipment daily, notify faults to HOD and take
corrective measures (i.e. repairs by company certified engineers, rechecking of
repaired equipment in the presence of company’s engineers to ensure minimum
down time and maximize efficiency).
19. Indent material and equipment from stores and ensure sufficient stock of all
materials so that all equipment is optimally used.
20. Recommend equipment purchasing needs to superiors.
21. Assist in measures directed towards management of mass casualties and disasters.
22. Assist and perform tasks as directed by Controlling Authority.
23. Utilize HIS and other software as needed/instructed.
24. Maintain cleanliness of person and dress.
25. Wear white coat while on duty.

2. Devise and run rehabilitation programmes for patients to help rebuild lost skills,
restore lost confidence and facilitate functional independence among patients with
neurological, musculoskeletal, burns, geriatric, pediatric and mental health
conditions.
3. Provide services to patients with neurological problems in ICU and Recovery
requiring Coma stimulation, positioning, splinting and limb management.
4. Provide basic and advanced neuro rehabilitation incorporating upper limb, hand,
trunk and lower limb motor training, balance and coordination training.

5. Provide Hand rehabilitation including splinting, sensory – motor training, gross and
fine hand function training post trauma, pre and post surgery, and burns
6. Assess and manage developmental disorders, feeding issues in infants and children
and academic difficulties.
7. Prescribe and design corrective splints and adaptive/ assistive splints to assist with
daily activities.
8. Advise on home and work place environment assessment and modification.
9. Prescribe walking aids and wheelchair modification.
10. Pre- prosthetic and post – prosthetic assessment and training.
11. Teach anxiety management techniques, training self- care, assertiveness training and
stress management training.
12. Assess and manage cognition, cognitive- perceptual and visuo- perceptual issues.
