RSU Vision:

Romblon State University as a premier institution of higher education in the MIMAROPA Region for a
globally competitive province of Romblon.

RSU Mission:

Romblon State University is committed to provide advance education, technological professional


instruction and training in agriculture and fishery, forestry, science and technology arts and other
relevant fields of study. It shall undertake research extension services, and provide progressive
leadership in its areas of specialization.

CAS Goals:

The College of Arts and Sciences is committed to provide relevant and quality training for students in AB
Political Science, BS Biology, AB English and AB Public Administration and related fields to satisfy the
needs of regional and national development thrusts and even global arena, and to be of service to the
community through extension program activities.

Objectives of Public Administration:

To provide knowledge and understand of the fundamentals of good governance.


To equip with the skills in management including planning, implementation, monitoring and human,
material and resource management for government and civil society organization.
To indoctrinate high ethical values for public service, accountability, nationalism, sustainability.
To promote strong sense of duty and protect public interest for the depressed and the marginalized
communities.
To developed abilities engaging in scientific research, educational innovation and decision making
towards students.
To establish an avenue for social awareness and involvement in community development through
extension programs, effective leadership, and initiatives.
To endow/instill high appreciation for the demands and challenges in public services in the minds of the
students.
To uphold commitment to excellence and ethics to respond to the challenges of and social responsibility.

Course Requirements:
Quizzes. This refers to the written formative test (short, long, unit, chapter test)
Active Participation. This refers to recitation and daily performance activities
Take Home Activities. This includes learning contract or any assignment given
Major Examination. These are the midterm and final examinations
Project/s. This includes portfolio, reports and research.

Course Policies:

Attendance is necessary for each student to obtain maximum benefits for instruction. Eighty percent
(80%) of 43 hours and 12 minutes of the total required hours must be attended each semester.
Non wearing of complete uniform is not encouraged. Violator will be reprimanded at first, If the violator
commits for the second time, his/her attendance will not be given credit and will not be allowed to take
examinations.
Special examination is only given for excused absences (in case of sickness)is required.
Cellphones are allowed, provided, it must be on silent mode. Student is not allowed to use cellphone
during class hours except in extreme necessities, and must be turned-off during examinations (quiz and
major examinations)
Uniform and ID are required before taking midterm examinations. However clearance is required before
taking final examinations.
Any form of cheating will not be tolerated.
In case the instructor comes late in the class, students are expected to wait ¼ of the total time in
minutes before leaving the room.
