Competencies Code

First Grading

Describe different objects based on their characteristics S3MT-Ia-b-1


(e.g. Shape, Weight, Volume, Ease of flow).

Second Grading

Identify observable characteristics that are passed on from S3LT-IIg-h13


parents to offspring (e.g., humans, animals, plants).

Third Grading

Describe the position of a person or an object in relation to a S3FE-IIIa-b-1


reference point such as chair, door, another person.

Describe the movements of objects such as fast/slow, S3FE-IIIe-f-3


forward/backward, stretching/compressing.
Least Learned Competencies in
Special Science Class (SSC) – III
As per Special Science Class Curriculum

First Grading
2.2 Infer that changes take place as children grow
3.3 Compare one’s present to previous socio-economical capabilities
4.0 Conclude that there are factors affecting one’s growth and development
4.4 Plan a balanced diet for a week

Second Grading
2.0 Explain how different body structures help animals live in certain places
2.3 Investigate the relationship between an animal’s body structure and its ability to
survive
1.0 Classification of plants
1.2 Relate the body structures that enable these groups of plants to thrive in different
kinds of places
2.2 How medicinal plants and plant parts are prepared and used

Third Grading
1.1 Describe the similarities and differences of materials according to their special
properties
2.0 Infer the compactness of the tiny particles based on the special properties of
materials

Fourth Grading
1.2 Create a model showing how people plants help prevent soil erosion
location, presence of trees, presence of a body of a water, etc.
