The Honorable Marcia A. Crone

United States District Judge
Jack Brooks Federal Bldg.
300 illow Street
Beaumont, Texas 77701

Your Horjor,

Currently I am serving a 30 month sentence at FMC Carswell in

Texas. I have been incarcerated since February 27th of 2018. My
out date, with good time credit is April 30th of 2020. My husband
Mohom ad is currently serving his sentence at FMC Texarkana, Texas.
This letter comes to you today as a desperate plea of a mother.
I am requesting you, Judge Crone, that you allow me to serve the
remaining of my sentence on home confinement, so that my daughter
can be at home with me.

My daughter, Sabeen is 14 years old, who is currently living with

my brother and my sister-in-law, in Houston. Sabeen has never

lived away from home or away from me since the day she was born,
and she is having a difficult time being away from both her
parents. She has lost her whole family and finding it very hard
to cope with this traumatic situation. She has no social life as
she has withdrawn herself from all her friends, due to the
embarrassment of having both parents in prison. It is due to my
selfish actions that Sabeen is suffering through such pain and
mental anguish. She is the innocent victim of the terrible
choices that I made and I take full responsibility for her pre¬
dicament. She has lost everthing because of my mistakes. I wish
I could go back in time and do things differently, but unfortunately
that is not an option. All I can do now is to hope against all

hopes that you grant my request of home confinement and give

me a chance to make things right for Sabeen.

North America has been my home for more than 30 years of my

50 years of life. I ha e always been a la abiding citizen. I
do not have a prior cri inal history, nor a I a threat to the
society. I have taken full responsibility for my actions and I am
paying my dues to the society. I was not required by the prosecution
to spend a single day in custody during their investigation of
more than 2 years prior to my sentencing. They did not consider
me as a threat to anyone.

I have been an ideal inmate at Carswell with clear conduct. I

hold a job in the Education Department, at the Law Library and
also teach Adult Education classes. I am programming and have
earn d various certificates. My supervisors are pleased with my
performance and my conduct.

I am not asking for a sentence reduction. I have made mistakes

and I will pay my dues back to the society. All I am requesting
that you allow me to serve the rest of my time under home confinement
with my daughter so that she can have some normalcy back in
her life.
