3. Job Set-up
Subtask 29-00-00-860-089-A
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002) .
(2) Open the left MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-010-001) .
(3) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position.
(4) Open the access panels 197CB, 195BB, 196BB.
(5) Make sure that the hydraulic reservoir of the applicable hydraulic system is pressurized to a minimum
of 50 psi (3.4474 bar). If necessary pressurize it (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002) .
(6) Do a check of the fluid level of the applicable hydraulic reservoir. If necessary fill the reservoir
(Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-002) .
Subtask 29-00-00-865-081-A
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) closed:
(a) Pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system until the hydraulic pressure is stable
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-002) .
(b) Depressurize the Yellow hydraulic system and let the hydraulic reservoir level become stable in 1
minute (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002) .
(c) Make sure that the reservoir is pressurized to a minimum of 50 psi (3.4474 bar). If necessary
pressurize it (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002) .
(d) Read the gage of the Yellow reservoir and record the fluid level.
(e) Depressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001) .
(f) After 5 minutes read the gage of the Yellow reservoir again and record the fluid level.
(g) Compare the two levels.
1 If the difference between the two levels is more than 1.5 l (0.3963 USgal),
do the related bleeding procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-870-004) ,
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-870-005) , (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-870-006)
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-870-007) .
2 If the difference is not more than 1.5 l (0.3963 USgal), no bleeding operation is necessary.
5. Close-up
Subtask 29-00-00-860-090-A
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) Make sure that the hydraulic reservoir of the applicable hydraulic system is pressurized. If necessary
pressurize it (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002) .
(2) Make sure that the level of the hydraulic fluid in the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic
system is correct. Add fluid if necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001) or
(Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-002) .
(3) Close the left MLG door (Ref. AMM TASK 32-12-00-410-001) .
(4) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
(6) Close the access panels 197CB, 195BB, 196BB.
