Demand Analysis

The researcher highlighted the following questions and data from the survey questionnaire to
identify the demand for the proposed business. The following questions are about the source of
financial support for tuition fee, estimated monthly income of Parents/Students, Option to whom to
borrow money when off-budget for tuition fee, how often they experience off-budget for tuition fee on
monthly examination, what government agency, lending company or cooperative is best in availing
small loan, how often they experience borrowing money form lending companies or cooperative, and
student’s opinion to establish cooperative for the students of ACLC. The table show the responses.

The table 1 shows that 223 of the respondents said that they have their own job as their source
of financial support for tuition fee for school. On the other hand, 82 of respondents are dependent with
their parent’s job as source of financial support. It can also be seen that 18 have other source of
financial support (e.g. business).

The table 2 shows that borrowing money to Private Lending Companies/Cooperative is the best
option when off-budget for tuition fee. Next is Government Agency that represents 29.7% of the total
respondents, and last is friends/relatives that acquire 22.6%.

Based on table 3, 107 of the respondents said that providing low interest loan that the designed
Cooperative for the students of ACLC offers is the most desirable reason for the respondents to avail the
products and services, 64 reported that the Student Cooperative helps to have hassle-free transactions
while 58 of the respondents said that Student Cooperative provide additional income through equity
shares/ bonding, 46 respondents are interested with the low initial deposit and maintaining balance of
savings account, 26 of respondents said Student Cooperative allows them to be a member with affordable
membership fee, and 22 of them viewed that Student Cooperative provide easy membership application.

Figure 1 shows that 184 or 57% of the total respondents have always experience off-budget for
tuition fee in a semester while 101 or 31% of them sometimes experience, and only 38 or 12% have
never experience.

Figure 2 indicates that 184 or 57% of the total respondents have always avail loan from
government agency, lending companies, and cooperative of the respondents when off-budget, 26% of
them said that they sometimes avail, and 17% of respondents have never avail loan when they are out
of budget for tuition fee.

Figure 3 shows that 207 or 64% from the total respondents are interested to avail products and
services from designed cooperative for ACLC students while 36% are not interested.
