Make proper notes while studying these books as it will prevent you from again reading the topics which are not that important.
After finishing every topic make it a point to solve MCQ’s on it as it will give you an idea of your understanding of the topic.
Take a lot of mock tests and solve a lot of sample papers and previous year’s papers. This will help you boost your self-confidence and prepare yourself for the
upcoming examination.
Remember that success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out. So, if want to crack JEE Advanced make sure to fulfil each day’s worth by completing the
small targets you set for yourself every day. Follow the above-mentioned books for JEE Advanced preparation. Once you go through the concepts and practice questions
from these books you will have a grip on the topics. You will start scoring high as well

Preparation tips for JEE Main along with Class XII board
Candidates who are appearing for the JEE Main as well as for the class XII board exams they can follow certain JEE Main 2019 preparation tips which will aid
them in both the exams. One of the aspects of “How to prepare for JEE Main and Class 12th Board Simultaneously,” is that firstly candidates must check the Class
XII and the JEE Main syllabus. This will help them to know which are the common topics from where the questions will be asked both in the JEE Main exam as
well as in the Class XII board exams. One of the key JEE Main preparation tip in this context is that the candidates must cover the syllabus of both Class XI & Class
XII. At no stage, the candidate can afford to lose focus since he is preparing for two extremely important examinations. There is very little room for error since with
each passing day the competition is getting tougher and tougher owing to a large number of students who are appearing in the competitive exam. At the same time,
it is pertinent to perform well in the Class XII board exam since there are some institutes and universities which offer admission to candidates on the basis of the
Class XII scores as well, while others take into account the class XII and the JEE Main scores as well.
Finish the Existing topic and then move ahead-An essential aspect of the JEE Main 2019 preparation tip is to first finish some of the basic topics and be very
thorough with them before the candidate proceeds further. This will prove to be a vital aspect in the long run as, during the fag end of the JEE Main preparation,
candidates should not stress themselves too much.
Develop clarity of concepts- One of the important JEE Main preparation tips is to grasp the concepts well. Candidates must remember that if they have good
command over the concepts then they will be able to apply them well at the time of the entrance exam. Hence, the candidates must ensure that they know the topics
so well that they do not face any problem in applying the concepts while solving the questions of any type.
Prepare short notes or flashcards- Making short notes forms key component of JEE Main 2019 preparation tips. The objective of preparing flashcard and short
notes is to save time a month before the main exam as the candidates can quickly go through these short notes and flash notes and revise the formula and other
important points which they had noted down earlier. During the last stage of the preparation of JEE Main, candidates cannot afford to study the complete books. It is
then that these flash cards and short notes prove to be very handy as the candidates can go through them very fast and recall the important points.
Practice the JEE Main Sample Papers and Question Papers- One of the pivotal JEE Main 2019 preparation tips include solving of the sample papers and the
question papers. The aim to solve the question papers is to enable the candidates to know the level of their preparation. Candidates will be able to figure out how
much they are taking in solving each question in each subject, whether they are able to manage their time appropriately or not.
By extensively solving the JEE Main sample papers, candidates will get to know different aspects of the exam paper such as the questions which are extensively
difficult for them and those which are either moderately difficult or are easy. The more they solve the questions, they will know which are the areas in which they
will have to work more so that on the day of the exam, they do not face any difficulty. However, one should not spend too much time while solving the questions.
Mock Tests- Taking of the mock test at a time when the actual exam takes place is also part of JEE Main preparation tips. Hence, the candidates must take the mock
tests from 9:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m and from 2:00 p.m to 5:00 p.m. This will make the candidates comfortable on the day of the JEE Main entrance exam as by
regularly taking the exam at that particular time, they are able to acclimatize themselves and will not face any problem on the day of the actual exam. To help the
candidates practise, NTA has set up Test Practice Centres.
Revision- JEE Main 2019 preparation tips also include revising thoroughly what all the candidate has studied. This will enable the candidates to be able to recall at
the time of the entrance exam whatever they have studied. Earlier also, while they are preparing, they will be get an idea what is difficult for them to recall. It is
here revision hold the key to success.
How to Improve Memory- Whatever a candidate has studied, it is imperative for him to be able to memorize them and also recall at the time of the exam. As part
of the JEE Main 2019 preparation tips, a candidate must eat healthy food, remain hydrated. Drink as much as water as possible. Candidates must remember that
their aim is to enhance their memory for the long term. Thus candidates can try meditation. At the same time, candidates can also try to visualize what they have
studied and try to recall it by following the steps in sequence.
Mathematics
For Mathematics in JEE Advanced, one should pay more attention to Vectors and 3D. Previous IIT JEE paper analysis also suggests that Complex Numbers and Definite Integral
are also asked frequently. Complex numbers are quite useful in solve coordinate geometry too. Integral calculus too can be used to simplify problems and save a lot of time.
In Coordinate geometry, the trick is to acquire good knowledge about various conic sections and learn to break down tougher questions to simpler basic ones and then, solve the
question.
Matrices can be used to solve equations. A 3X3 matrix visualized as three-planed 3D geometry, determinants that can be broken as two using a common summand from a row or
column, and other such properties can help students take on tougher questions in less time.
Using graphs to solve Algebra functions take less time. So, learn to apply vertical and horizontal origin shifts well. Differential Calculus, especially Rolle’s and Lagrange’s theorem,
can help you solve roots of equations. Useful in solving trigonometric questions. Prepare Permutation - Combination and Probability well with special focus Baye’s theorem,
derangements and various ways of distribution. You should pay special attention to the fact that objects are identical or not.
Chemistry
In Inorganic Chemistry, Coordination Chemistry and Chemical Bonding are important. Most of the questions are related to concepts related to structure, processes and applications.
In Organic Chemistry, General section, Stereochemistry and Functional Group Analysis are important.
Speed matters in Chemistry. So, practicing questions with conceptual clarity and applied knowledge of concepts can go a long way in solving Chemistry questions. Special attention
should be given to topics like Chemical Equilibrium, Mole concept and Electrochemistry.
Physics
Mechanics should not be neglected in JEE Advanced as many questions are asked from this topic. Most questions in Mechanics are related to Particle Dynamics and Kinematics.
To score more, topics Optics, Electricity and Magnetism, and Modern Physics are best.
Thermodynamics is an important topic both in Physics and Chemistry that can be covered quickly too. One should take it up after mastering Wave Optics.
