NARRATIVE REPORT

Immersion Class

Daily Task Report

July 9, 2018 , we conducted a workshop at St. Vincent Elementary School and

Mabini Elementary School specifically the grade 4 students, first we taught at St.
Vincent then after we proceeded at Mabini Elementary School, before teaching
we ask for the approval of the principal of the schools. We talked to them and
made sure that we are authorized to teach. We showed the letter provided by
our subject teacher Ma'am Reycelyn Corsino Ballesteros for the confirmation,
then after that, we proceeded to talk to the teachers of the grade 4. We asked
them if we can have a little bit of their time to conduct our workshop activity.
Then upon approval, we proceeded to enter the room and introduce ourselves
to the kids, the kids at St. Vincent Elementary School are very attentive so we
didn’t had a hard time teaching, but in Mabini the kids are slightly loud. After the
introduction, we asked the children if they are excited to learn and they are very
excited, so after that We showed them what they will be learning, we picked
one kid for each volunteer for a 1on1 teaching while another volunteer is also
demonstrating how to draw the same character on the blackboard. First we
taught them that in drawing it is important to draw basic shapes, We also told
them that they should draw lightly when starting so that when something went
wrong it can be easily erased. We showed them how to draw it then they follow.
Other kids get it easily and others are having a hard time drawing, because of
that, we also taught them techniques on how to draw shapes like circles. After
that we let them draw without our help and just by using what they learned,
some children were able to draw what we asked them to, so after drawing we
applauded and congratulated them, then we gave them some snack for their
reward for being able to draw, but before eating we asked the students to pray.
After that we went again at the principals then thanked and took pictures with
them.
Reflection

The workshop we conducted at Mabini Elementary School and St. Vincent

Elementary School provided me the experience on how to handle people or kids
that has no idea how to draw and how to teach them, the workshop also helps
me experienced working with a team, it made me realize the importance of
working with others for a better and easier outcome of the task given. It also
taught me the process on how I can conduct any activity on different schools
and companies. It also taught me on how to manage and think through the
problems that arises. This kind of workshop is very helpful for a young student like
me it may teach you a lot of things that can help you throughout your life. I now
understand how to handle children that are difficult to discipline. The wokshop
enriched my confidence and created a foundation of being a good employee
someday. It made me realize that it is really important to know what you are
doing and to love it.
Conclusion

Therefore I conclude that the workshop we conducted helped everyone to be

better. Workshops are good for students that are trying to have good experience
and other benefits. It also gives the students not just experience but the
knowledge on working with others and help each other to strive. This workshop
will influence my future career plans for the better. Everything we done and
taught the students are correlated with my classroom knowledge which was
taught to us by our teachers.
