Teen pregnancy is one of the main problem in oursociety which is dealt with different

prevention methods or strategies. Religious leaders, head of every country and other prominent
persons have tried and still trying to find solutions to it.

Adolescent pregnancy may represent a family crisis or may be considered a cultural norm, with
variation in responses among different families. As such, it presents an opportunity for the
physician to identify latent family problems that may have increased the likelihood of the
pregnancy occurring.

Howevere it was influenced by several factors such as poverty, broken home, separation of
couples, single parent, death, peer pressure or influence, lust, religious beliefs, rape and sexual
abuse, alcoholism and drug abuse, lack of knowledge, environmental influence, and
pornography.

In doing so, attitudes of blame should be avoided because they hinder the necessary acceptance
of responsibility and ability to change dysfunctional patterns.

programs focused on 2 strategies: abstinence only education and abstinence plus education.

But sociologist believe that reducing or solving the rate of teen pregnancy requires developing
more of comprehensive and holistic solutions in the future.

Researchers, teachers, parents and community leaders are recommending and developing
programs that focus on the role of and young men in the teen pregnancy. Involving boys and
young men in “Male only” sex education helps to significantly reduce the rate of teen pregnancy
for years.
