Connect: Educator will begin the class by playing the video “what does he looki like?” and hav a discussion on the same.

Guided inquiry: Educator will ask the learners to describe what the weather was like when they arrived at school this morning. Educator will record
learner’s descriptive responses on the board. Educator will underline and identify the describing words (adjectives) in their sentences. Educator will
mark the describing word in red. Educator will tell learners that today, they're going to learn about describing words (adjectives). Educator will tell
learners that describing words (adjectives) describe nouns and can tell how something feels, smells, tastes, looks, and sounds. Educator will show a
video on adjectives to the learners . Educator will ask learners to name some of the describing words (adjectives) mentioned in the video. Educator will
write the describing words (adjectives) to the list on the board. Educator will pair each learner with a partner. Educator will review the meaning of
describing words (adjectives). Educator will have each pair turn to each other and use one word to describe the classroom. Educator will have learners

share their responses with the rest of the class.

Demonstration of understanding: Educator will show an image and tell learners to write three sentences with adjectives to describe the image on the
card.
Closing the loop: Learners will read the sentences in the class.
Period 2 and 3:
Reconnect: Explain what an describing word (adjective) is.
Connect:
Guided inquiry: Activity 1: Educator will play the "Describe Your Friend" song and will tell the class that they are going to listen to a song about a
boy and a girl. Educator will provide papers to the learners. Learners will have to describe their friend with illustration. Educator will read the
instructions to the class and then play the song. As the song is playing learners should do the activity. Educator will play the song again if required.
Since everyone is enjoying the song, Educator can play it again and have everyone sing along (especially as it’s such a catchy tune!).
Activity 2: Educator will tell the learners that an adjectives describes a noun.Examples of words that describe are ugly, preety, nice,mean, smooth, lumpy.
Educator will make columns and give examples of describing words.

Guided Inquiry: Activity 1: Educator will divide the class into 3 groups as per their level of reading and distribute the books to them. After reading the
book the learners will write the anme of the book on their guided reding notebook and illustrate their favorite charater from the story.
Activity 2: Educator will also guide the learners to find out the describing words from the story and write the sam on their their guided reding notebook
Demonstrate Understanding: Learners will complete their writing work.
Closing The Loop: Learners will speak about their illustration which they have done on their guided reading book.
