STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

In the following statement of my objectives, I have highlighted the reasons that have
prompted me to pursue Master’s Degree. In doing so, I have briefly summed up my
motivation for Master’s Degree in Business Administration, academic
background, fields of interest and research experience. My Bachelor’s Degree in
Computer Science and Master’s Degree in Computer Applications emphasized more
on developing a broad engineering knowledge base and firm fundamentals, whereas
Masters Degree provides one an opportunity to acquire an in-depth of experience
and competence in one's field of interest. Therefore, I believe that study at a
renowned university would be of much valuable in building upon my graduate
education and help me realize my ambition as a researcher in my field of interest.

The desire to make my dreams come true combined with my determination,

unquenchable thirst to learn and excel, and the invaluable support and
encouragement from my family made me work hard during my University Studies.
My under graduation in computer Science and Post-graduation in Computer
Applications, with its widespread, scope and versatility, was a good match for my
abilities and interests. The Post-graduation at, Anna University, with its highly
competitive and stimulating environments motivated me to learn, appreciate and look
at all problems with an engineering sense.

An array of labs and workshops at Post Graduate College, gave me valuable

hands-on subjects. These along with group assignments in various courses
inculcated in me the team spirit to work effectively in a group respecting the opinions
and ideas of others. During my undergraduate and post graduate study, I have made
a sincere effort to achieve a solid foundation in Computer Science and Computer
Applications, balancing both intellectual and practical experiences. In post-
graduation I have had an intensive exposure to the Computer Applications and
Management. The subjects which I studied are Human Resource Management
Techniques, Business Processes, Accounting and Financial Management,
Resource Management Techniques, Marketing Practices, along with Database
Management system, Management information systems, Software Project
Management etc., provided me exposure and created Strong Motivation to Pursue
Master’s Degree in Business Administration in United Kingdom.

Hence I would like to join a post graduate school that not only provides an
opportunity to hone my Management skills through research and interaction with like
minds, but also an ideal milieu for all-round development. I believe your esteemed
university stands apart from other universities in this respect, I have gone through
the university website and found that Management Research Projects, like those
being Undertaken by the students, match my interests. I firmly believe your
university, with its Vast of research facilities and eminent faculty, would be an ideal
place for me to pursue original research in my field and in the long run help me attain
intellectual satisfaction.
I am aware of the need for a sound academic background, industry, and
creativity to excel in Post-graduation studies. With my academic background and
enthusiasm for research, I am confident of meeting the high standards of the post
graduate program. I hope my application for admission with financial aid too will be
considered favourably.
