ELECTRICAL AND INSTRUMENTATION PROFILE

EPCC

Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPCC) Service requires


Technical, Managerial, Commercial and Financial capabilities. The company has, over the
years, built up extensive capabilities and track record for fast-track projects. The
engineering, procurement, commissioning are carried out in house. The construction is
executed by our local associate companies utilising our planning and construction
management expertise.

In executing each EPCC project, the company will assign a Project Team to approach the
given tasks. And in each team, one Project Manager will lead the team in project schedule
planning, design, procurement & contract administration, construction, progress reporting,
commissioning and other tasks.

From the initial design, fabrication, implementation to final commissioning and operation, our
highly experienced and responsive Project Managers are hands-on at each stage to ensure
the timely completion of our customers' projects.

With a customer oriented approach, our team always aims to deliver more than expected
and to value-add to our customers' growth and development.

Key Personnel
Value of Company is its Key Personnel with broad experience in Project Management,
Planning, Procurement, and Engineering Disciplines including Process, HSE, Mechanical,
Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation/Control, Telecom., and Civil /Structure/Architecture.

Project

The achievement of the objectives of the Detailed Engineering is mostly dependent on the
proper coordination and interface with all the discipline specialist engineers and the Client.
This critical activity will be monitored and facilitated by the Project Management team. The
Project Manager supported by Planning Engineers and Document Controllers shall
coordinate and provide the leadership for the execution of the project.

The key activities are:

 Project initiation and definition

 Preparation of TDR
 Planning and Scheduling
 Quality and HSE Assurance
 Progress Reporting
 Budgetary Cost Estimates
 Cost Control
 Document Control
Following are the major activities carried out by Instrumentation Team:

 Prepare Design Basis.


 DCS, ESD and F&G System Configuration and overall Control System
Architectural Diagram
 Prepare Instrument Index and DCS/ESD Point Database, Instrument I/O
list, Instrument Cable schedule etc.
 Data Sheet for various field Instruments like Control Valves, Relief Valves,
Shutdown Valves, Analyzers, Transmitters, Flow Elements, Flow meters
and other Instrument items
 Prepare Specification for DCS, ESD, F&G Systems, Analyzers and various
Field Instruments
 Prepare MR, Technical Clarifications, Technical Bid Evaluation & PO for
Instruments.
 Instrument/JB location drawings, F&G Detector location drawings. Control
Room layouts.
 JB Wiring, Loop and Interconnection Diagrams.
 Instrument erection / installation drawings.
 Cause & Effect Diagram, Logic Diagram and Functional Schematic
Diagrams.
 Building Fire Alarm System Configuration and Automation.
 Scope of work for Installation.

All electrical installations shall be of high quality, safe durable, complete and fully operational
including all necessary items, spares and accessories whether or not specified in detail. All
electrical work shall be completed in accordance with the regulations and international
standards.

The engineering scope for electrical system shall include detailed engineering, preparation
of drawings and documents, testing of electrical equipment for complete procurement,
transportation, installation, pre-commissioning and commissioning of the work.

Following are the major activities carried out by Electrical Team:

Engineering activities shall include preparation / review / verification / updating as applicable,


but not be limited to, the following:

 Determination of rating of various electrical equipment (Motor,


Transformer, Heater, switchgear, cables, etc.)
 Overall single line diagram and single line diagrams for individual
switchboards.
 Electrical equipment and load list.
 Procurement engineering activities including preparing of enquiry
specifications, bid evaluation, preparation of purchase specifications,
expediting and review of vendor drawings.
 Complete electrics for package equipment.
 Sizing calculations for cables, cable trays/cable trenches.
 Area wise illumination level calculation and preparation for power
supply distribution drawing.
 Various electrical layouts such as equipment layouts, hazardous area
classification layout, lighting layouts, cabling layouts, earthing layouts,
including equipment installation and cable termination details.
 Prepare MR, Technical Clarifications, Technical Bid Evaluation & PO for
equipment’s.
 Bill of materials for cabling, lighting, earthing and miscellaneous items.
 Cable schedule.
 Interconnection drawing.
 Review of drawings for inter-disciplinary check and interference.
 Review of vendor documentation.
 Preparation of ―as-built‖ drawings.
 Any other work/activity, which is not listed above, however is necessary
for completeness of electrical system.
