ROLE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AS MEANS OF SOCIAL SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN WITH DIS-
ABILITIES

The essence, content of information technologies as means of social support of disabled children is considered, oppor-
tunities and prospects of use and introduction of information technologies in educational activity are designated. The concept
“information technology” from the position of researchers of Y.G. Danilevsky, V.P. Bespalko, R.T. Gareyev etc. is analyzed.
In article the funds of information technologies of social support of the disabled child which are classified on the training,
modeling, tool systems are allocated. The idea locates that in the course of social support of children with sight violations the
use of computer technologies is effective as initial step in the course of preparation of the child for mastering by information
activities and creates additional conditions of improvement of subject knowledge and abilities.
The author marks out features of process of training of disabled children, with use of means of information technologies:
1) irregularity of visit of the occupations, connected with movement restriction; 2) reductions of hours of an academic load and
sparing mode of training; 3) restriction of information and illustrative opportunities of teachers in educational process.
In article the principles of the organization of distance learning of disabled children are disclosed by the basic from
which the free access is. Relying on A.Yu. Kurin, I.G. Zakharova, G.V. Mozhaev researches the author describes the direc-
tions opening positive possibilities of use of information technologies in social support of disabled children:
– valuable and semantic direction (promotes in formation of requirements, values and valuable orientations of tee-
nagers with limited traffic-abilities);
– information direction (allows to expand considerably “exit” of teenagers with limited opportunities of health on any
necessary for it and his family information);
– functional and activity direction (assists teenagers with limited traffic-abilities in development by them not only
educational, but also professional activity, other organization of leisure, etc.);
– organizational and methodical direction (helps disabled children in the course of use of information technologies,
over time to create the new information products, helping to solve these or those problems of social adaptation).
As a conclusion, the author emphasizes that for the successful process of the social support of disabled children and
their active integration into society, it is necessary that the means, methods, forms and other components of the information
environment were most approached to the specific individual, in view of his abilities, opportunities to join in full-fledged life.
