 About Us
 Established in 1931, this public university of India is one of the oldest and most prestigious
institutions focused on Statistics and allied disciplines such as mathematics, CS, Economics,
SQC etc.

 In its continual effort to achieve excellence in both postgraduate education and research
work, the institute has earned an international academic reputation in the field of statistics,
CS, Economics and allied sciences

 ISI Alumni have adorned Senior Leadership and Analytics roles at reputed Companies as well
as distinguished faculty positions at world famous Universities. They have received numerous
awards and recognition as well.

 ISI Kolkata has more than 250 faculty members who are involved in novel research work and
collaborations and have been honoured with the awards such as Padmashree, S.S. Bhatnagar
Award etc.

 In addition to offering formal Post-graduate and Ph.D. Programs, the Institute has been
involved in Continuing Education and Research & Development in areas of value to both the
Industry and the Government.

 Placement Policies
 The companies are required to mail us the filled up the Campus Recruitment Form (CRF)
at plccom [at] isical.ac.in (Form is available at our website
www.isical.ac.in/~placement/).
 The job role(s) and exact salary details must be mentioned. If any range is mentioned,
we will consider the lower limit as the salary committed by the company.
 We allocate the slots based on the salary and interest of the students.
 Each of the placement days are divided into slots and in any given slot there may be
multiple companies interviewing the available pool of students.
 We will be able to provide at most 3 rooms to each recruiting company on the day of the
interview.
 During these days, pre-placement talks or screening tests will not be possible.
 Students selected by the company from the available pool of students will only be
allowed to proceed with the interview process.
 The interviewing team must declare the offer(s) at the end of the slot.
 The salary should also be re-confirmed at the time of making the offer to any student
and it should not be less than the salary committed before.
 If a student gets one or more jobs in a slot, (s)he will have to choose one and (s)he will
not be allowed to appear for any interviews in the subsequent slots.
 Students who obtain PPOs at the end of summer internships will be deemed to have
received a job offer, and will only be allowed to appear for Companies offering
significantly higher pay than the initial offer. (Either 1.3 times the initial offer, or more
than 4 Lakhs than the initial offer, considering fixed pay and guaranteed allowances)
