 Study and optimization of cutting parameters during turning operation of an austenitic
stainless steel alloy
Short Description
Study is carried out to optimize cutting parameters of Austenitic stainless steel
AISI 304 material. Mechanical tests are carried out and experimentation is carried
out and surface roughness values are note down. Chip measurement is carried out.
Feed is the most significant parameter for surface roughness.
 Comparative analysis of tribological properties and machining parameters to optimize
tool life of cryo-treated tool steel
Short Description
Deep cryogenic treatment is carried out on AISI D-3 tool steel and study is
carried out on effects of deep cryogenic treatment on mechanical and tribological
properties and micro-structural changes are observed. There is considerable rise in
mechanical and tribological properties after deep cryogenic treatment.
