Game Overview
Our Light is 2D Top-Down Puzzle Role Playing Game for PC. It takes place in two
different parallel worlds, one is futuristic world which is highly populated and has
much more advanced technology and the other is medieval world which has less
advanced technology, but some people or groups have supernatural powers. The
medieval world is inspired by the age of Majapahit Empire and Wali Songo in the
Island of Java, Indonesia. The game will mainly focus on the medieval world, while
the futuristic world takes role as the ‘origination’.
Our Light will be a story rich game. In certain points how player acts will affects
how the story progress.
Our Light will mainly focus on puzzle-solving game, but it does not limit players
to complete the puzzles with fixed methods, including violence can be one of the
solution. The one thing for sure is, beside common movement like running, jumping,
and dodging, players have tool that let them teleport from one places to others. To
make it balance, the tool can only set the location to teleport up to three locations at
one time.

Goals
Our Light aims to achieve one and only goal, that is to be released in Steam
Greenlight in the end of the year of 2017. While that is the main goal, Our Light has
‘checkpoint’s too that will be explained descriptively in the task list later.

Target Market
Based on individual, they have the following characteristics:
1. Male or Female;
2. 14 to 20 years old;
3. Has a PC (requirement not yet determined)
4. Likes puzzle games like Portal or other similar games
5. Likes story rich games
6. Casual to Hardcore gamer
7. Has Steam Account (Gamejolt and Itch.io can be alternatives)

Core Gameplay
Because Our Light uses top-down perspective, Playable Character (PC) moves in
2D plane, horizontally and vertically exploring jungles, villages, mountains,
riverbanks, etc. There are puzzles through the game, and they will become more
difficult as the story advances. Enemies appear along the way too, preventing PC
from achieve his objective. Enemies are actually act as puzzle too, how to defeat
them is not limited with one method, player can attack them directly, deceive them,
or make peace with them.
Players will be driven by the story, as one of the Our Light’s key feature is its
story. Players will direct the PC to heartlessly complete the mission as he told to do
so, or find the ‘light’ and discover the hidden supernatural power of native people
have.
The core mechanic, which is one of the key features, is the PC’s ability to teleport
to up to 3 locations at the one time. These locations can be changed, but it will
override one of the set location, as it can only set to 3 locations. This ability will be
PC’s main weapon to solve the puzzle and defeat enemies along the way.

Game Flow
Players can perform these following actions:
1. Move up, right, down, lef
2. Passively jump from platform to another
3. Dodge by roll
4. Teleport to up to 3 locations at one time
5. Destroy obstacle
6. Interact with the environment (i.e. people, stone, ladder)
7. Attack once in every certain seconds
8. Throwing tool (to set the location to teleport)

WX is a brilliant special agent who works for his nation, Indonesia, and expertise at
unarmed and armed combat, code encrypting, and acrobatic movement. He is highly
trained to be loyal to his country, protect any information that potentially endanger
his nation at any cost, and complete any mission given to him with any necessary
method. As a result of this, he becomes heartless, emotionless, and mission oriented
person. He is YZ’s younger brother.
-Appearance
WX has a very short haircut, like the one Doom Guy has. His skin is yellow, like
common asian people have. His eyes black and sharp, normally people will feel
threatened if they look at them directly. His height is 1.70 m. His weight is 70 kg.
WX's field attire consists of hooded black vest that reduces damage he took, white
long sleeve shirt, SWAT-like black gloves, black long pants that protective yet flexible,
allows him to moves freely. He wears a blue watch-like device called TeleWatch. To
use his TeleWatch, his hooded vest has a safety gear in the hood, so whenever he
uses the TeleWatch, he must cover his head with his hood.
-Personality
WX put his mission above all. He will sacrifice anyone, innocent, criminal, old, young,
even himself if he must. He even prepared to commit suicide if he captured by the
enemies and forced to leak any information about his country. WX speaks with hard
threatening tone, showing that he never mess around, even when he off duty, yet he
very rarely swears. He speaks when it needed, rarely let out any unnecessary words.
-Early Life
WX actually has a quite ordinary life before he become special agent. Since he seven,
he always admire his brother, YZ, as his brother is a genius student. (cont’d)
2. Main Antagonist [name: YZ]
YZ is a genius researcher who works for his nation, Indonesia. He is the one who
discover that there is self-contained world co-existing with his own world. He even
created a device to travel to that world. He is greedy for knowledge, power, and
money. The only reason he works for the government is to exploit the authority given
to him for his own benefit.
