Description of Business Reimagined

Are you happy with the way you work? Are you engaged, energised in the office? Or do
you sometimes feel that your days are dominated by process and technology?
Reimagining business is about waking up to a new environment, based on collaborative
and flexible working, on technology that, used correctly, liberates rather than constrains.
The future of work must be based on being open, on focusing on results, not process and
on empowerment, not hierarchy.

 Why work doesn't happen at work – TED Talk

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5XD2kNopsUs

I picked Jason Fried for the following reasons:

Jason Fried has a radical theory of working: that the office isn't a good place to
do it and he puts into practice what he preaches at 37Signals the company he
co-founded;

His talk on “Why work doesn’t happen at work” is considered by many as one of
the most compelling presentations made at TED Talks in recent times;
http://www.shopify.com/blog/6553665-12-must-watch-ted-talks-for-
entrepreneurs#axzz2e6nUq8Xt

Jason co-authored the book Remote: Office Not Required

The “work from home” phenomenon is thoroughly explored in this new book from
37signals founders Fried and Hansson, who point to the surging trend of
employees working from home (and anywhere else) and explain the challenges
and unexpected benefits;

Jason co-authored the book Rework which shows us a better, faster, easier way
to succeed in business. The writers say one need not be a workaholic to succeed
in business. It also tells why we don't need to staff up, waste time on paperwork
or meetings. They claim we don't even need an office.

arrangements, virtual teams, and working from anywhere.

He blogs about these things regularly at TheAnywhereOffice.com and also runs

YouCanWorkFromAnywhere.com (some of his websites have some easy to
follow freebies on working remotely);

here);
