RATING JUSTIFICATION
5 The head of the family works as salesman at the Mandaluyong (near the family’s
house). The mother is a housewife and sells dry good and also half of their house is
being rented and can help as an extra income for the family’s expenses. And their son
(adopted) is going to school every weekdays. Each of the member performed their
role in the family.
3 The family is able to monitor their health through frequent consultation to the health
center.
3 The family can determine if there is presence of disease or illness but rely on their
own knowledge on curing the illness rather than visiting the health center or hospital
more often.
5 The family maintains nutrition of the members. The household is clean and well.
Family members have adequate sleep and rest. Even they have cats as pets, they
didn’t allow them to sleep with the family inside the bedroom.
3 The family accepts medical care in illness from the health center but there were times
that they can’t buy some prescribed medicines which can help on curing the
disease/illness. “Mahal kasi.” as verbalized by the mother.
5 The family maintains a happy relationship with each other and still have a positive
outlook in life.
5 The family is well grounded and close with each other. Though the father spends the
day to work and earn money, he makes sure he gets time with his family during
Sunday. And they also share their everyday lunch together.
3 The stairs is narrow and has no railings which can be a threat for the family to fall and
may cause injury.
5 The family is aware about the community facilities and they received information
about any community programs. The family have a good relationship with the
neighborhood.
