Michael Jackson

A person I truly admire is the one and only Michael Jackson. He is simply amazing, an icon for me, my idol. I admire this
person for so many reasons, not only for his big contributions in music, but for the person he was.

The bad tabloids and media have twisted Michael's life and only aired his faults and flaws, which most were untrue, not his
good deeds he did around the world.

One of the things I really admire about him is how he started small. He was a little boy in Gary, Indiana and he said in his
interviews that passing kids and neighbors would throw rocks at their windows and tell them how they (The Jacksons) will
never make it, but they kept on going, kept on striving through all these obstacles, and Michael grew up to become a legend.

Not only that, but he has donated millions of dollars to countless charities around the world, and even broke a record for
that. In my estimation, he did everything he could to "heal the world." He gave hope and inspiration to many people,
including myself. He gave his heart, his dedication and that's why I will always look up to and love Michael.

I hate to say it, but, shame on everyone who put down-- and continue to put down-- what is probably the most kindhearted,
talented, and genuinelygood human being I've ever seen in my entire life. Sadly lots of people missed Michael's message of
love and peace, and as Michael said, "Don't judge someone until you get to know them," and when I saw a list of
the hundreds(literally) of humanitarian acts of Michael, I really cried, I believe that that is the greatest and most important
mark that Michael left on the world and is something that everyone of us could learn from.

Very often, when people listen to his music, they only focus on the killer beats, the amazing vocals, the catchy chorus, not
what he was actually trying to convey, who he truly was...

And I end my little argument with one of my (many) favorite quotes, because through music, words, dance, and actions,
Michael has truly shown me something I can't explain, something in my heart, I don't know if it's to work hard and your
dreams will come true, through all the obstacles, or simply to love and give love without wanting back, because eventually
you'll get it back, now before I get sidetracked...

"I've been in the entertainment industry since I was six years old... As Charles Dickens says 'It's been the best of times, the
worst of times,' But I wouldn't change my career... While some have made deliberate attempts to hurt me, I take it in stride,
because I have a loving family, strong faith and wonderful friends and fans who have, and continue, to support me,"
