SUMMARY

The four year course on Bachelor of Science in Applied Physics with Electronics and
instrumentation (BSAP), currently offered at the Papua New Guinea University of
Technology, has enable me to possess technical skills and knowledge in Electronics,
Instrumentation and Measurement Science together with a good understanding of the
underlying Physical Principles.
I had successfully completed my undergraduate development programme at the
PNG University of Technology and received my degree in Bachelor of Science in
Applied Physics with Electronics & Instrumentation on the 21st of April, 2017.

I possess technical knowledge and skills in many relevant areas which may include, but not
limited to; Electronics, Instrumentation (Sensors and Transducers), Signal Processing,
Science and Engineering, Experiments and Measurements (Laboratory and Field), Non-
Destructive Testing (NDT), Data Analysis, Computer Hardware and Software, Process
Control, Basic Programming, Thermodynamics, Communication Engineering, Maintenance
Engineering, Automatic Controls, Condition Monitoring, Programmable logic controller
(PLCs) Networking, Electrical and Mechanical Systems, Refrigeration, Geotech,

CAREER HISTORY

OCTOMBER 2018 – CURRENT (8 months: From 21st /10/2018 – 29th/06/2019)


Contract Biomedical Engineer, Western Highlands Provincial Health Authority
(WHPHA) – Mt Hagen, WHP

Key Responsibilities:

 Install, adjust, maintain, repair, or provide technical support for biomedical


equipment to ensure every medical equipment is running effectively.
 Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, modifications, repairs, and
installations on all equipment.
 Evaluate the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of biomedical equipment
 Conducting fault finding in the equipment
 Fixing and solving breakdowns and completing maintenance reporting and root
cause failure analysis.
 Perform Medical Equipment Safety, Maintenance, Performance and Quality
Assurance Testing to Manufacturers and Australian Standards.
 Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test
equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the
problem.
 Train clinicians and other personnel on the proper use of equipment
 Undertaking relevant medical research project on “Reducing Child Gut
Infection in WHP” in which I was the Team Leader in pursuing that pilot project
in the province with prolific outcomes.

 I am responsible for maintenance execution on every equipment to ensure they


function effectively and prevent future failure.
 Executing daily checks on equipment, lights, etc... to make sure everything is running
efficiently by basic cleaning, inspection,etc..
 Conduct fault findings and attain to it attentively so solve it and point out the cause to
prevent future failures.

OTHER ACHIEVEMENT

1. During my employment with Western Highlands Provincial Health Authority I was


appointed as a Team leader in which we pursued a Research Project in Reducing
Child Gut Infections in the province. It was a pilot project and was recognized by
the WHPHA as a prolific project and outstanding presentation.

2. I am working as a Private Contractor that specializes in fixing and commissioning


different equipment from most basic to complex such as fridge, rice cooker, scale
balance, chiller, double door fridge, complex biomedical equipment (x – ray,
ultrasound scanner, etc..) etc..

3. Also I am working as a Private Business Consultant to individuals, association and


small businesses to help them grow their businesses.

4. I was appointed as the Team Manager for Mt Hagen Tee School OWB’s rugby club
which has participated in Mt Hagen Coco Cola Ipatas Cup (CCIC) for three years.
Under my management I proudly want to say that we are able to won two Gold
Passes for CCIP in Mt Hagen, WHP from 2015, 2016 and 2017 we loose on Semi
Final.

5. I was given the Certificate of Training Engineer with Bmobile Vodafone Limited.

6. My Final Year Project on Wireless Security Systems at PNG University of


Technology was awarded with High Distinction and was recognized by the
Department.

7. During my undergraduate programme I have involved in many activities apart from


my studies like; helping and encouraging other students, captaining the Department
team to participate in PNG Unitech SRC Rugby League in 2016, etc.

8. I had been conducting Sunday School Classes at Kitip Secondary every Sunday for
two years with children from the staff members and few locals as a result I was
awarded the Sunday School Certificate.
Apart from teaching Sunday School classes I administered students from PNG Bible
Church and Nazarene Church every Friday night Fellowship.

School for my outstanding academic performance.
