CORE BLOCK
• What type of material would you design your core block from?
2. The core block is the only place where the ejector box is attached.
3. The core block is the location were slide housing and hydraulic cylinders
are attached.
4. The core block is also critical for the alignment of the two halves of the
mould.
• How can production requirements effect the design of a core block and
more specifically the mould?
• Designers should always look for and utilize universal mould bases.

• How many guide pin bushing are required for this mould?
• Are there any slide that will be attached to the core block?
• How will the ejector box the attached to the core block?
• Do I have all the clearance hold designed into the core block?
