The Concept of Sabbath Rest Applied to the Seven God Days
The concept of those species to be preserved. Of those,
Sabbath Rest on 7th
day is laid out early in
bible narrative and
emphasized by sundry
Mosaic statutes.
Larkin was perhaps
the first modern writer
to present such
concept, using an
Anno-Mundi (AM) date
of 4000BC. This work finds 4026.5Y
between AM and start of John’s work,
and 4000Y from Jesus baptism unto fall
of Adam, from which yet remain another
3000Y unto release of devil after earth’s
Sabbath rest.
- And on the seventh (7th) day God ended his
work which he had made; and he rested on
the seventh day from all his work which he
had made. Gen2:2
Next in Genesis 7 the same theme is
repeated in the story of the flood. During
7 days the ark of salvation was filled with

- For yet seven (7) days, and I will cause it to
rain upon the earth forty days and forty
nights; and every living substance that I
have made will I destroy from off the face of
the earth. And it came to pass after seven
days, that the waters of the flood were upon

Jacob could be taken as a type of Christ
and Rachel as a type of the elect
redeemed. The 7 God days taken as
time allotted unto the building of a new
heaven & new earth where the
redeemed shall abode eternally. A similar
idea could be seen in Sampson’s seven
(7) day wedding feast. The riddle may
represent the mystery of salvation
revealed in these last days. For those to
whom the mystery is made known, there
awaits a new garment. For after 7 God
days, the earthly tabernacle will be
changed for clothes of eternal
righteousness in a new heaven & earth,
Rev20:11&21:1-2.

allotted to mortal men to dwell upon
earth before reaching the eternal abode.
- The 15th day of this 7th month shall be the
feast of tabernacles for 7 days unto the
LORD. You shall dwell in booths 7 days; all
that are Israelites born shall dwell in
booths:... That your generations may know
that I made the children of Israel to dwell in
booths, when I brought them out of the land
of Egypt.. Lev 23:34b,42a, & 43
Seven (7) Days speaks of purging &
cleansing. This is typed oft times by
Moses Law in the book of Numbers, see:
19:11,12,14,16,19,&31:24 and enumerated
into millennial times by Ezekiel
description of the millennial temple.
- Seven (7) days shall they purge the altar and
purify it; and they shall consecrate
themselves. Ezek43:26
The great principle of Sabbath rest on a
7th day is declared after the flood of
Genesis, as follows:

Rest is referred to as a type of freedom
from sin. Unrest is the labor of sin &
unbelief. For sin is a result of satanic
influence upon fallen men in the earth.
Sin also labors God, for our creator
wishes none to perish but for all to be
saved. The book of Hebrews so
eloquently looks to the
example of the desert
wanderings.
-But the wicked are like the
troubled sea, when it cannot rest,
whose waters cast up mire and
dirt... for Jerusalem's sake I will
not rest, until the righteousness
thereof go forth as brightness...
Isaiah 57:20, 62:1b
-But with whom was he grieved 40
years? was it not with them that
had sinned, whose carcases fell in
the wilderness? And to whom
swear he that they should not
enter into his REST, but to them
that believed not? So we see that
they could not enter in (to the
REST) because of unbelief... For if
Jesus had given them REST, then
would he not afterward have

spoken of another day. There remains
therefore a REST to the people of God. For
he that is entered into his REST, he also
hath ceased from his own works, as God
did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter
into that REST, lest any man fall after the
same example of unbelief. Heb3:17-19 &
4:8-11
- And he said, Hear ye now, O house of
David; Is it a small thing for you to weary
men, but will ye weary my God also? Isaiah
7:13
So also has the great 7th day of rest
from sin been declared, after which God
completes His work of restoration to
make a “new heaven & new earth”
- And he laid hold on the dragon, that old
serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and
bound him a thousand years, And cast him
into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and
set a seal upon him, that he should deceive
the nations no more, till the thousand years
should be fulfilled: and after that he must be

promise, look for new heavens and a
new earth, wherein dwells righteousness.

and there the weary be at rest. Job 3:17
- For, behold, I create new heavens and a
new earth: and the former shall not be

ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which

earth: for the first heaven and the first

city, new Jerusalem, coming down from

-For the earnest expectation of
the creation eagerly waits for
the revealing of the sons of
God. For the creation was

willingly, but because of Him
who subjected it in hope;
because the creation itself also
will be delivered from the
bondage of corruption into the
glorious liberty of the children
of God. For we know that the
whole creation groans and
labors with birth pangs

first-fruits of the Spirit, even we

waiting for the adoption, the redemption of

The book of Isaiah describes the
millennium rest thusly: Is 14:3,5,7
- And it shall come to pass in the day that the
Lord shall give thee rest from thy sorrow, and
from thy fear, and from the hard bondage
wherein you was made to serve,.. The Lord has
broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of
the rulers... The whole earth is at rest, and is
quiet: they break forth into singing.
Since all things follow an established
pattern,
- The thing that has been, it is that which shall
be; and that which is done is that which shall
be done: and there is no new thing under the
sun. Eccl1:9
it follows that as this world was created
in 6 days, then after the 7th God rest day
should follow the new heaven & new

earth. After the creation was made, it
was declared:
- And God saw every thing that he had
made, and, behold, it was very good.
And the evening and the morning were
the sixth day. Gen1:31
The amount of elapsed time between
creation of everything very good and
when “bondage of corruption” entered
into the creation is indeterminate. But
from the moment man fell, God
determined to create a “new heavens
and a new earth, wherein dwells
righteousness”. Based upon a 1000 year
rest day, the other 6 creation days unto a
new earth may be also taken as 1000
years also. For the God-day is twice
more referenced as a span of 1000
years.. as seen in 2Pet3:8 & Ps90:4.
About this nature, much was stated by
Paul,
- Nevertheless death reigned from
Adam to Moses, even over those
who had not sinned according to
the likeness of the transgression of
Adam, who is a type of Him who
was to come. Ro5:14 ... For since
by man came death, by Man also
came the resurrection of the dead.
For as in Adam all die, even so in
Christ all shall be made alive. But
each one in his own order: Christ
the first-fruits, afterward those who
are Christ's at His coming. Then
comes the end, when He delivers
the kingdom to God the Father,
when He puts an end to all rule
and all authority and power. For He
must reign till He has put all
enemies under His feet. The last
enemy that will be destroyed is

under His feet." But when He says
"all things are put under Him," it is
evident that He who put all things
under Him is excepted. Now when
all things are made subject to Him,

there is a spiritual body. And so it is
written, "The first man Adam
became a living being." The last
Adam became a life-giving spirit.
However, the spiritual is not first, but
the natural, and afterward the
spiritual. The first man was of the
earth, made of dust; the second
Man is the Lord from heaven. As
was the man of dust, so also are
those who are made of dust; and as
is the heavenly Man, so also are
those who are heavenly. And as we

The bible lists over 4000 years up
to time of Christ. However to map
bible years into calendar years a
common reference point is needed.
That reference point is anchored to
the modern calendar by the work of
St.John. For Luke 3v1-3 list is:

rulers (kings) can
be firmly dated to
the modern
calendar to a range
of years between
26AD and 31AD,
without controversy.

be found both
detractors and
