ABSTRACT:
We live in an exciting time where more and more
everyday items “things” are becoming smart! “Things”
have sensors and can communicate to other “things” and
can provide control to more “things”. The Internet of
Things, IoT, is upon us in a huge way and people are
rapidly inventing new gadgets that enhance our lives. The
price of microcontrollers with the ability to talk over a
network keeps dropping and developers can now tinker
and build things inexpensively.

IoT based Smart Office automation project is done using

low cost NODEMCU WiFi Module, It uses relays and
few simple components, complete code is provided, for
more details on software setup go through IoT getting
started tutorial. You can control four electrical devices
and also you can monitor temperature. ESP-12 is low cost
module we are using here. With advancement of
Automation technology, life is getting simpler and easier
in all aspects. In today’s world Automatic systems are
being preferred over manual system. With the rapid
increase in the number of users of internet over the past
decade has made Internet a part and parcel of life, and IoT
is the latest and emerging internet technology. Internet of
things is a growing network of everyday object-from
industrial machine to consumer goods that can share
information and complete tasks while you are busy with
other activities. Wireless Office Automation
system(WOAS) using IoT is a system that uses computers
or mobile devices to control basic Office functions and
features automatically through internet from anywhere
around the world, an automated office is sometimes called
a smart office. It is meant to save the electric power and
human energy. The office automation system differs from
other system by allowing the user to operate the system
from anywhere around the world through internet
connection.

WORKING PRINCIPLE:
There are various techniques to control office appliances
such as IOT based office automation over the cloud,office
automation under WiFi through android apps from any
smartphone, office automation by android application
based remote control, . Wireless office automation using
IOT is an innovative application of internet of things
developed to control office appliances remotely over the
cloud. Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) is a wireless networking
technology used for exchanging the information between
two or more devices without using cables or wires. There
are various Wi-Fi technologies like Wi-Fi 802.11a,
802.11b, 802.11g and 802.11n. Here, in this project Wi-Fi
module is used to receive commands from the internet
and activate loads through TRIAC & Optocoupler by
executing a program written within the Wi-Fi module.
Hence, no microcontroller is used in this project to drive
loads.
