ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

The present research work has reached its zenith with the constant help and
encouragement from many people. Present study is the product of the interaction
of a number of minds. Knowingly and unknowingly, many people have
contributed to the completion of this study. Therefore, I earnestly thank all those
who have helped me in the pursuit of my research.

At the outset I express my deep respect and earnest thanks and cavernous
sense of gratitude to Dr. P. Vanagamudi, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor,
The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar law University, Chennai for giving me valuable
advices and suggestions to improve my thesis during the Pre Ph.D., presentation
and in whose period I have completed my Research Study.

First and foremost, with great pleasure and reverence, I express my deep
sense of gratitude to my guide, supervisor Prof. (Dr). D. Gopal M.A., M.L., Ph.D.,
Director PG Courses and Head of the Department of Environmental Law and
Legal Order, The TamilNadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, Chennai for his
valuable guidance. His indefatigable enthusiasm was a source of constant
inspiration. His painstaking supervision and inspiring discussion has left an
indelible indentation on my doctoral work. It has been indeed an extreme privilege
and one of the most rewarding experiences of life to have been associated with a
