Sometimes, the parents are not ready to accept the fact that their wards need conducive
environment at home to perform well in their studies. The students are at receiving end
ultimately because of this and they underperform in their examinations.

At times, some parents are themselves not aware of importance of studies and they make the
students get involved in various family/social activities including earning activities. So their
wards don’t get enough time and space to pursue their studies effectively. This in turn gets
reflected as failure of the school teachers/administration as evident from drop-out ratio.

(B) Please also indicate items in which there have been significantly higher achievement and your
contribution thereto.

My students are always motivated to participate in various scientific activities and they have
shown great achievements in the same over and over again.

I was chosen as mentor for 5 students from D&NH for the Japan visit under student exchange
programme in April 2017. We had significant interactions with students, teachers, scientists
and industrialists of Japan. I made it sure that my students interact with them with full
enthusiasm and interest. The students were greatly influenced by the interactions and are now
inclined to pursue career in scientific research.
