Abstract

TITLE : PINAS-LAKAS PHILIPPINE HIGHSCHOOL FOR SPORTS

STUDENT NO. : 140-0099
DEGREE : BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN ARCHITECTURE

I. BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

Filipinos are born competitive in the field of sports. Being a champion is in our blood. The whole country joins
Manny Pacquiao when he gets in the ring. Filipino fell in love with football quickly and hard when the Azkals came
along, and who will never get stand in their seats when Gilas Pilipinas slamming the basket, We were getting
proud to recognize our chess super grandmaster Wesley So from becoming World’s top 2 chess player, And we
amused to our fellow Hidilyn Diaz the first Filipino woman to win an Olympic medal of any color. Despite of having
those sports heroes the Olympics have come and gone and yet again,, Philippines has failed to rank among the
world’s best, Filipino athletes were unable to take home a medal of any color for the country from the past
Olympics. Philippines sports are facing so many problems, inadequacy of facilities for an intensive training
programs, lack of attention given to sports from the past administrations, shortage of elite athletes, And we able to
get our student Athletes in schools intramurals and amateur competitions, Being a student athlete is so hard and
challenging they need to train while studying, It is hard to get focused on both. Sports is their stepping stone to
finish their studies, Some of them after graduating from college they didn’t able to push on what potential they
have from their athletic skills, They just forget about it, And sometimes the students having the potential and
determination to be an athlete so they stop studying to pursue their dreams but they are left behind because of
the situation of how they push they dreams if the government didn’t give attention to Sports in the Philippines.

II. PROJECT TITLE

PINAS-LAKAS Philippine high school for sports (RESURGENCE+STRENGTHENED+CONSOLIDATED)

III. PROJECT CONCEPT AND DESCRIPTION

The concept of the project is to have centralized educational facilities focusing on sport studies, Strengthening
and preparing them at their young age to become more competitive physically and mentally conditioned. This
school will produce more elite athletes that will compete for the future events both national and international level.
Students will have an easy access for the sports facilities especially designed to meet their needs.

IV. PROJECT RATIONALE

To design an educational institution developing young athletes to be trained and focused who compete in the best
in the world while providing them with quality secondary education.

New Clark city Capas Tarlac Philippines

VI. PROJECT COMPONENTS

The proposed project will meet the minimum standards recommended for secondary education, such as
Classrooms, library, Secondary School Shops Practical Arts Technology, and Home Girls Trades/Homemaking
Wood Trades, Metal Trades Mechanical Trades, Audio-Visual Trades. Indoor sports facilities like swimming pool,
Basketball court, Tennis court, Athletic village for the students live inside the school.
