This kind of quote that was made by Robert Brault, one of my favourite writer,
has philosophical value that is related to our very life as human being and student. In all
of the things in our short and enigmatic life, we always have choices, yes or or, left or
right, up or down, angry or patient, sad or happy, et cetera. We have our default setting
and it is up to us to change it for the better… or worse. Therefore, I as a human being
named Hary Stiawan is here to chang my default setting.

I am fully aware, as an undergraduated student in faculty of law Brawijaya

University, that the existence of prestige, achievements, and the process along with the
result in gaining skills, especially in Indonesia is closely connected to our social matters
in daily life. For example, I have scientific skill to determine the facts from the numerous
data and infromation served before me through discussions and even idle conversations.
Therefore, I could gain the highest avail for my life.

However, proper and easy education to learn skills and gain prestige nowadays
can only be gained by the wealthy people and hardly reach the middle-low class citizens,
despite of what legal norm has said in our constitution UUD NRI 1945 article 31, “every
citizen deserves education”. I feel that it is my fate to change this predicament through
giving an example that it is not impossible for our kind (middle-low class citizens) to
change our default setting. It is my reason to join the squad of representatives from
Brawijaya for HNMUN. It is in my belief that through this program I can gain a lots of
benefit, either academically or non-academically, achievements and other things.

I am sure with the experiences I have gathered through competitions and other
teamwork experiences will give me an advanced ability to have a respectful and scientific
dialog, negotiation and relation with the other representatives. Another reason that
motivates me a lot to be part of this program is to become a key public figure to my
hometown, as the main part of my project to liberate the younglings, where the majority
of them in my village is determined to become what we called ‘low-class’ such as farmer
et cetera, just because their father do so too. That’s why this program will be my key and
the one way through to reach my goal to give those who in needs of hope and chances, in
order to gain prosper and achieve something better. They will become their own leader
and cast their own light toward the better future, refute the bitter world. In the end, their
ideological and identity shall be developed and immensely spread out to the entire
generation with prove of achievement and other rewards publicly.
