WESSINGTON CRYOGENICS
POLARIS REFRIGERATORS
Traditional cryogenic storage involves immersion in liquid nitrogen, while vapour storage houses samples on a shelf
above a liquid reservoir. Polaris is different. By housing liquid nitrogen in a jacket around the Polaris chamber, we have
created a truly dry system.

Features :-

 Liquid nitrogen stored in a thermal jacket that surrounds the storage chamber; reducing cross contamination risks,
minimalizing hazards related to liquid nitrogen and achieving a temperature of -190°C with no restrictions to
chamber access.
 Wide opening for easy sample access – samples are easy to locate and retrieve, vapour cloud clears within a
short moment (ideal for frequent access)
 Temperature probe is placed at top of the chamber, thermally insulated from the chamber wall – ensures uniform
temperature throughout the chamber to ensure all samples are safe. Accurate storage temperature performance
to ensure sample viability.
 Fully automated or manual liquid nitrogen filling – the samples are kept stable and maintained in specified
conditions, without interference from liquid nitrogen top-up.
 Liquid nitrogen can be supplied from smaller cryogenic vessels or large scale bulk containers – can act as a
standalone system or as a new addition to an existing cryopreservation facility.
 State-of-the-art monitoring and control capability - simple and safe to operate, designed with outstanding stability.

PHV SERIES - BASIC
Over the years, Wessington have supplied a wide variety of custom PHV Series vessels so this page is to display some of
the versions available.
These range from the PHV-800 road transport model, virtually a standard version nowadays for some of the smaller road
transport operators who need a smaller amount of liquid to transport around.
Built to TPED transport requirements, vessel has all the general features of the larger tanks but as these are commonly
fitted into smaller vehicles, separate lockable cabinet and some of the other features of the larger versions are not
required
If you wish to discuss any such tank, please contact the Sales Department

QFM-333 OXYGEN MONITOR
The QFM333 continually monitors the air surrounding the sensor filter on its base and provides visual and audible alarms
when the monitored concentration of oxygen falls below the pre-set 'Low Oxygen' or rises above the pre-set 'High Oxygen'
alarm levels.

Applications
The QFM330 Oxygen Monitor may be used as a stand-alone device with its own audible and visual alarms, or linked to
other repeater modules to mimic the condition of the monitor. Repeater modules can be connected to the QFM330 and
located outside the monitored area to warn users at the point of entry. The system can be fully customised to allow
multiple location monitoring and further modules can be easily added at a later date to expand the scope of the system.

Features :-

 Oxygen monitor unit operates continuously for two years and cannot be switched off, giving maximum user
protection.
 Built-in visual and audible alarms with separate ‘low’ and ‘critical’ alarm states.
 Internal Audible alarm is 85dBA at 30cm.
 Long life oxygen sensors provide 24 months operation in normal use.
 Audible/visual alarms at the monitoring point not only at a remote location.
 Oxygen enrichment, deficiency and high/low monitoring options.
 Simple & secure connections to repeater modules using a pre-wired plug in connector (up to a maximum of
100m).
 Modular system which allows the user to completely design and customise the system to suit his exact
requirements.
 Suitable for use in high magnetic fields
