Brief Description of the Club

ACM is an international scientific and educational organization dedicated to advancing the art, science,
engineering, and application of information technology. ACM BIT Mesra Students Chapter is an extension of
ACM and aims at enhancing the computing skills of students in the campus. At ACM BIT Mesra, our aim is to
enhance learning through exchange of ideas among students sharing a common interest. ACM’s broad array of
lifelong learning and skill development opportunities include tutorials, workshops, and weekly coding contests
on LAN, and coding competitions in different fests organized all-round the year, which helps the students
maintain a competitive advantage. Workshops are conducted regularly which aim at increasing the overall
standards of the people involved. The induction of new members takes place every year depending on the
performance in that year.

Achievements of the club

1. We promote participation in highly acclaimed global competitions like GSoC and ACM-ICPC and
multiple teams successfully make it to the later stages of the competitions.
2. Our Alumni Network is spread globally, across various multinational companies like Facebook,
Google, Microsoft and Goldman Sachs.
3. Membership of ACM BIT Mesra gives the required brand image which helps students secure their
dream job.
4. Every year the average package of ACM Club Members is above 20 LPA.

Brief Description of the Club

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell was founded in the year 2007 by students Amit Chaudhary and Ankit Jain
with Dr. B.M Karan as Mentor to foster the spirit of entrepreneurship among students. EDC’s prime objective is
to be a stepping stone for students who want to take the unconventional path and start their own enterprise. To
gather the required expertise for them and help them approach Venture Capitalists (VC’s), investors and banks are
the major areas of focus. EDC also plays a vital role in encouraging entrepreneurship among students of Jharkhand
region through workshops, activities and guest lectures by eminent personalities. The Institute is governmentally
recognized as Nodal Centre for Entrepreneurship in the state of Jharkhand.
Achievements of the club
1. Winner of National Entrepreneurship Championship 2015 held at IIT Bombay.
2. Winner of Entrepreneurship Summit 2014 and 2016 held at IIT Bombay.
3. Our previous members Aditya Sakhuja and Rohan Yadav were selected for ISB YLP Programme and
Gandhi Memorial Fellowship respectively.
4. We are providing mentorship to the start-ups inside as well as the campus.
5. We have become the Outreach Partners with iB Hubs and Chatur Ideas.
6. We conducted the E-Summit in 2018 after a long hiatus.
7. Online events like the Virtual Stock Simulation were organized for the first time in the campus.

Brief Description of the Club

The Environment Protection and Awareness Club, EPAC is a technical club registered in BIT Mesra, Ranchi.
As the name suggests, the club works towards achieving an objective and fulfilling an ideal that is greater than
any of us which is saving the environment. We, at EPAC, feel obliged to protect and defend the single greatest
asset afforded to mankind- benevolent compassionate Mother Nature herself. In this ethical endeavor, our
course of action initiates with Awareness. Awareness about the unruly activities to which our world is being
subjected to, can bring the masses together and motivate them to join us. Change can only be wrought upon
our world through a unified approach. Therefore, our prime goal is to strive for the improvement and well-
being of the environment through the focused effort and collective directive of our members as well as the
general public willing to take part in our noble cause.

Achievements of the club

1. EPAC embarked on an initiative to install dustbins around the classrooms. This move led to the
installation of permanent dustbins throughout the campus.
2. EPAC ushered in an initiative that revolved around paper bags which were created and distributed
throughout the campus. Hundreds of paper bags were handed over to various vendors in BIT which
significantly reduced the usage of plastics.
3. The 5th edition of Jharkhand Science and Environment Fest or The JSEF was successfully organized
on 22nd of January, 2017. This fest witnessed more than 600 students from Ranchi, Dhanbad and
Jamshedpur.
4. The 1st offline event, Jumanji which was organized on 1st October was a great success as it witnessed
a huge turnout of enthusiastic students.
5. EPAC introduced a series of posts on R.O.S.E which is an acronym for Realistic Overtures Towards a
Sustainable Environment aimed at increasing awareness amongst people.
6. The 6th edition of Jharkhand Science and Environment Fest or The JSEF was successfully organized
in 2018. This fest witnessed more than 600 students from Ranchi, Dhanbad and Jamshedpur.

Brief Description of the Club

IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) Student's Chapter BIT Mesra believes in a constant
endeavour to inculcate among students the requisite knowledge to catch up with their peers across the global
community and most importantly, tomorrow. The club ensures this through quality workshops on
contemporary topics, and through events which are aimed at sharpening cognition among participants and
organizers alike. At IEEE, we believe in disseminating what we know and learning what we don't.
IEEE Global and its members aim at a better tomorrow through its more than 420,000 members in over 160
countries, and its highly cited publications, conferences, technology standards, and professional and
educational activities.

Brief Description of the Club

The IET Students’ Chapter, BIT Mesra is actively involved in inculcating a passion for innovation and
appreciation for scientific temperament in the minds of those who have the potential to change the future. It
conducts seminars and workshops throughout the academic calendar striving to impart relevant skills to the
students. IET plays an integral role in planning and organizing various events in the techno-cultural fests of
the institute: Pantheon, VertechX and Bitotsav.
Apart from this, IET strives to invite eminent personalities to conduct lectures for the benefit of the club
members also keeping the doors open for others interested. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that despite being a
technical club, it gives one an opportunity to enhance his/her social and managerial skills. It aims to sharpen
skills of all students irrespective of which course/branch they belong to. IET has been an active club of BIT
Mesra since 2000. The general body of the club is instituted each year through rigorous performance
evaluation and interviews. Organization and planning is done through collective efforts of workshop creative
and learning program team, web team, event management team, display team, treasurer, joint secretary and
general secretary supervised by vice-presidents and president. The club facilitates and values contribution of
any non-member student in conduction of its activities.
Provision for Global IET membership with added benefits of free access to all 70k IET books and journals
and 10 million digital papers along with opportunities to get internships and scholarships and publish research
papers. The club also encourages interaction between students across different years to help solve problems
and share experiences both on the technical and non-technical front.

Brief Description of the Club

The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), BIT Mesra Students' Chapter,
was founded by Dr. G. S. Gupta in 2011 and its founding President was Lakshyya Khaitan. Ever since its
inception, IETE has gone from strength to strength providing excellent learning opportunities for students in
Electronics and Communication and Electrical Engineering. The club conducts various workshops necessary
for building a strong foundation in the core subjects and also provides ample practical experience by means of
industrial visits and projects under the mentorship of its senior members. The flagship workshops being
conducted includes the Circuit Logic and Design (CLD) Workshop, which caters to the need of understanding
the basic concepts of semiconductors and logic circuits and is beneficial for every first year students from
circuital as well as non-circuital branches. The Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) workshop is primarily
conducted for the second and third year students and it focuses on controlling industrial processes and machines
using microprocessor based devices. The Communication workshop focuses on the vast field of wireless
communication as well as cellular communication and gives insight to practical aspects of working of cellular
network and technologies. IETE is the only club which conducts a trip to renowned industries for the purpose
of practical demonstration of the industrial processes. Usha Martin, Tata Steel are among the various industries
that have been visited for this educational purpose. IETE also conducts the Circuital Aptitude Test (CAT), an
online test series which primarily tests the aptitude and reasoning ability as well as the basic circuit concepts
of the students and the overall winners are felicitated in a ceremony. Apart from these, IETE organises the
National Science Congress (NSC), which brings renowned professors and doctors from around the country
who discuss about their research papers and indulge in constructive discussions on innovative technologies.

Achievements of the club

1. Only technical club in BIT Mesra to conduct annual Industrial Visit to the biggest industries like Usha
Martin, Heavy Engineering Cooperation (HEC) , JSPL and others, providing direct technical exposure.
2. Conducts Circuital Aptitude Test (CAT), an online technical and aptitude test aimed at providing an
analytical platform for testing and improving one’s prowess in the field of electronics and electrical
engineering. It attracts participation in hundreds from students of our institute as well as from those of
Lalpur extension centre.
3. Organised Inter-university conference named NATIONAL STUDENT CONGRESS in 2014, where
Guests from IETE New Delhi visited the campus and students from over 10 colleges participated in
conference and guest lectures organised.

Brief Description of the Club

Team Robolution is a group of 35 ingenious students from different branches, with a common purpose –
dextering robotics. We are the official robotics team of Birla Institute of Technology Mesra, and are responsible
for encouraging and popularising the culture of robotics amongst students. We organize various workshops,
events and competitions to enhance and popularize robotics in our college. A part of our team, 'Team
Pratyunmis” is the official ABU, Robocon participating team of BIT Mesra which is the largest robotics
competition in Asia Pacific. This participation contributes in a holistic development of our students and provides
the students with a platform to apply their theoretical knowledge, practically and brings laurels to our college.

Achievements of the club

1. Best Rookie Team in the first year of participation in Robocon 13.
2. Prize of Rs 50,000/- for best use of Mathworks tools by Mathworks in Robocon 15.

Brief Description of the Club

FIREBOLT RACING, BIT Mesra is a team comprising of the brightest minds in the college devoted in the field
of automobile research. The team Firebolt Racing is the official off road racing team of BIT Mesra.
The team has had a glorious history laden with trophies and applaud won by the team under SAE in various
competitions around India. The team participates in BAJA SAE INDIA and BAJA STUDENT INDIA held every
year. Firebolt Racing has made the college proud in the previous years by performing exceptionally in the events
it participates in. The team organizes automotive workshops in the college to enhance the knowledge of the
students interested in automobiles. The team is headed by a Captain, working under the guidance of the Faculty
Advisor. The vice-captain serves an advisory role. The team has three departments Technical, Electrical and
Management namely. The technical head, management head and other members work under the command of the
Captain.

Brief Description of the Club

Team Srijan is the Formula Student team of Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra. It is a group of undergraduate
students from various branches of engineering who come together to design and develop the prototype of a
Formula race car and participate in Formula Student competitions held across the globe. The team is affiliated
to Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) which is a U.S based, globally active professional association and
standards developing organization for engineering professionals in various industries.
Achievements of the club
1. Team Srijan was conceived in 2007 and in its debut year the team participated in Formula Student UK
held at the Silverstone circuit, the home of British Grand Prix. The team finished 5th in class II events
and 58th in class I events out of the 105 participating teams from various leading universities around
the globe.
2. After a period of dormancy, in 2011, Team Srijan participated in “SUPRA SAE India”, the Indian
version of FSAE, which was held in Chennai. Team Srijan was amongst the few teams to have attained
the distinction of clearing the rigorous scrutiny rounds in its maiden attempt.
3. The team carried on and participated in "Supra SAE India 2012", held at Buddha International Circuit,
Noida where it was among the 25 teams out of the 66 teams that managed to clear the technical scrutiny.
Our car was lauded as the lightest car with spaceframe chassis with a design that had "serious
International level pedigree" in it.
4. The team made a successful return to the international arena in 2013 by participating in Formula Student
Italy, held at the Riccardo Palletti Circuit in Varano De Melegari, northern Italy. Team Srijan stood 21st
in the cost event among the 55 participating teams and was voted the 2nd best team from India in terms
of design.
5. The year 2015 was a phenomenal one for the team. The team participated in the Formula Design
Challenge held at the Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore. The team secured an overall of 7th rank in
the event out of the 47 teams.
6. In 2016, we participated in Formula Student India 2016 held at the Buddha International Circuit, Noida.
Team Srijan was the only team to achieve the feat of clearing the subsequent rounds of Technical
Inspection with a RE 500 cc engine.
7. In 2017, the team set new standards when they participated in Formula Bharat 2017 and bagged the 6th
Rank in the Statics and 12th rank overall among the 58 Indian teams. Team Srijan also emerged out as
the best team from East India, outscoring teams from IIT Kharagpur, IIT Guwahati, IIT Dhanbad.

The Student Mentorship Program (SMP) would be a club that would help promote interaction amongst
students across the campus. The core objectives are to establish a systemic ladder between the students of
various batches of BIT MESRA to ensure proper guidance and motivation and to establish a platform to create
a horde of opportunities for students in the form of internships, research projects and social initiatives.
To provide a vibrant forum and platform that promotes interaction, network and brotherhood among the

Brief Description of the Club

Dance Club is a club which comprises of the best dancers and choreographers of BIT. It is famous for hosting
the most exclusive and entertaining events of the year which sets standards and is indeed a representation for
the class of talent in BIT. These incredibly fun and tiring events range from the Themed Batch Fresher's Party,
Street Dance Events, Salsa Workshops, Chance-Pe-Dance (Couple Dance), Footloose (Solo) and Group Dance
Competition. Through these events, one is truly relaxed and stress free. It builds up confidence and most
importantly gets you rid of stage fright. Dance Club gives a chance of participation to everyone. Our panel of
judges are meticulously talented and have worked in the industry for many years. They analyse the participant’s
performance and give their judgement along with their expert advice and views on areas of improvement. To
be amongst us, one has to prove his talent by matching up to the standards the club stands on. Selection is based
on level of Participation, Creativity, Energy and Innovation to organize an event
Dhwani - Music club, is the oldest club of BIT Mesra, where students participate and create a musical
exuberance in the campus by rejuvenating music to its best. The club is a place where students display their
talent in the field of music and get various opportunities to learn new things and expand their knowledge and
understanding in any genre they feel interested in. Throughout the year, Music club is associated with organizing
and helping out with the management of many exciting musical events, with active participation in BITOTSAV,
Pantheon and other Intra-college competitions. There are various formal and informal events organized by
Music Club, which include BIT’s Got Talent, Live Jams, BIT Unplugged, Alumnus in Campus and Dhwani-
Annual Music Fest. Apart from organizing events, Music Club also helps students in improving their vocal and
instrumental skills, by conducting workshops which not only help to nourish and nurture musical talent but also
promote a healthy learning system amongst seniors and juniors within and outside of the club. Music club is a
platform to explore oneself through music and to experiment with ideas. It is a place where musical talent of
B.I.T Mesra comes together to create something truly extravagant.

Brief Description of the Club

Ehsaas - Dramatic society is an esteemed club of the institute which excels in the field of performing arts.
Through its creative ideas, the club spreads social awareness and promotes theatrical arts among the
students. Dramatics club in BIT Mesra was established decades ago as a local chapter and it has grown
leaps and bounds since then, currently regarded as one of the best college societies in the country. We
participate in many events like Mood Indigo (IIT Mumbai), Spring Fest (IIT Kharagpur) and many more.
We perform artforms like Nukkad, Mime, Play, Stand-up, Musical Skits and motion pictures

Brief Description of the Club

Fine Arts Society (FAS) is one of the most creative clubs of Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra consisting
of a big pool of Artists and Creative People. FAS also has one of the largest numbers of members registered
in rolls, with the count exceeding 100 including all the batches. The primary motto of the club is to promote
the art, craft and designing among the students of BIT Mesra and help them to enhance their skills in this field.
Sessional year 2016-17 was a very successful year in achieving our goals and motto. We recruited around 35
new members in society from 2k16 where all worked in organizing several events and working in annual fest.

Achievements of the club

 Two of the members has affiliation from International water colour society after multiple National Art
Exhibitions.

 Some of the members of Fine Arts Society took part in various art competitions and won after
conducting carious art workshops.

 Some of the members also qualified for National Level art exhibition and conducted art workshops at
various places.

 A member of Fine Arts Society won “Jharkhand Foundation Citizen Honour – 2016” for his
contribution in the field of Arts and social service.

 Spectra- An arts festival was organized after 2 years in the campus and a participation of 300+ was
seen.

Brief Description of the Club

Leo Club is the student chapter of Lions Club International. Lions meet the needs of communities across the
world. 1.35 million Members in 206 countries are different in many ways, but share a core belief – community
is what we make it. Leo Clubs are a youth organization of Lions Club The word L E O stands for Leadership,
Experience, and Opportunity. The Leo club objective is to provide the youth of the world an opportunity for
development and contribution, individually and collectively, as responsible members of the local, national and
international community.

Achievements of the club

1. Organized blood donation camp in collaboration with NSS and collected more than 250 units of
blood.
2. Donations made during Deepotsav to more than 100 underprivileged students which included
notebooks, bags, pens.
3. Successfully conducted NO SMOKING campaigns in the college.

Brief Description of the Club

The Literary Society (LitSoc) is the official literature club of BIT Mesra. It was started in the year 2008 before
which it was the Bhartiya Sahitya Parishad. It is a group that appreciates literature in all its forms, regardless
of the language, genre, or the art form. The literary Society organizes a plethora of events every year which
provides a stage to students and encourages them for their many talents. Events like Symposium, Lit-Night,
Lit-Workshop and many others are conducted in the same spirit. The Literary Society has a considerable online
presence with an active social media profile and a dynamic blog that features the works of students from the
institute. It organizes various online events on the same platforms. It also has its own library for students that
provides them with books that are not available otherwise. It publishes a biennial magazine and several
pamphlets which feature the works of the students. It organizes ‘Rostra,’ eastern India’s largest literary fest
which includes all sorts of events like the Youth Parliament, Panchayati Raj and also fun filled Nights with
poetry, music, and other forms of visual arts. Rostra witnesses active participation from all local and nearby
colleges. The members of LitSoc have performed exceptionally well in many University level competitions
and cultural festivals, and have earned praise for the Institute. It has made its presence felt in national institutes
all across the country. Literary Society is not just a group of literary enthusiasts, but it is also a place for
students to develop soft skills which are essential for their lives ahead.

Achievements of the club

1. It organizes Rostra, eastern India’s largest literary fest, which showcases the ability of its students to
other institutes.
2. It provides students with an environment that develop their soft skills which help them in their careers
but more so during job interviews that make their careers in the first place.
3. It provides the students with space where they can pursue their many interests and explore other things
except their curriculum. As many alumni of the institute have done exceptionally well in other fields.
4. It helps the students to develop a reading habit and also a writing habit that helps them with everything
in life, from writing exams to writing a term sheet. (From reading Chetan Bhagat to

5. It helps the students to be productive in general. The working of the club requires computer application,
event management, resource management, designing, etc and the club helps the students to gain

Brief Description of the Club
News and Publication Society, prevalently known by its acronym N.A.P.S, is the official media house of BIT
Mesra. We fulfil the duty of a veritable media house with all sincerity. We work efficiently and ebulliently to
ensure that information regarding anything and everything relating to BIT reaches the students in the most
efficacious and picturesque form possible. Be it a pompous cultural event or a pedagogic and enlightening
technical workshop, the members of our club work with an unparalleled zest and prompt to ensure that you
are not left behind. Moreover, we do not limit ourselves to the BIT campus. In an honest effort to practice
constructive journalism, we regularly update our website with articles and editorials on burning social and
political issues to start some much required discussions. We also interview the alumni, guest lecturers and
celebrities visiting the campus to ensure that the wise words by these sagacious personalities reach the
BITians. But, the most important part of our job is to manage the media for BIT. A college’s reputation and
ranking depends a lot upon the media’s perception of it. We, at N.A.P.S ensure that the best of BIT reaches
the media and all the hard work being put in by each and every individual related to BIT gets the spotlight it
so richly deserves. To sum it all up, if there is a tangible form of the word omnipresent in the context of BIT,
it is the News and Publication Society.

Achievements of the club

N.A.P.S acts as an interface between B.I.T. and the outer world and since its very inception, it has ensured
that it presents a deservedly virtuoso image of this magnificent institution. From the lavishly organised
Bitotsav to the adroitly conducted workshops, N.A.P.S has ensured that the valiant efforts put in by the people
involved are accentuated. N.A.P.S has worked relentlessly to ensure that every person in the campus stays up-
to-date on everything, be it workshops, debates, performances or placements. Although we do not have any
trophies or medals to showcase the resilience and robustness with which we work, we like to think that we
have helped the college and its populace in the best possible manner.
N.A.P.S conducted an award ceremony in the campus for the first time giving away trophies in various
domains.

Brief Description of the Club

The Photographic society holds the distinction to be one of the oldest club of the college with its foundation
dating back to 1964. Every year, around 30 students are inducted into the club after proper training and
guidance. The principal objective of the club is to promote the art and science of photography and video
making among the students of BIT Mesra and help them develop their skills in this field. A film body has also
been proposed from 2017 to promote filmmaking and cinematography within the club.

Achievements of the club

1. The members have won many individual competitions at the inter collegiate level in Spring Fest, Mood
Indigo etc.
2. A team comprising of the Psoc members won the second prize in Talkies, a short movie making
competition organised in Bitotsav. More than 20 teams had participated in the event.
3. Psoc is responsible for covering BIT’s annual cultural event, Bitotsav, in its entirety. The official after
movie of the event is also made by Psoc.
4. Successful association with Nikon India, Indian Institute of Photography for conducting various events
throughout the year.
5. The alumni of the club have been successful in converting their passion of photography into a
profession, with successful start-ups like Clickwink Digitals, Ethereal etc.

Brief Description of the Club

Social service and helping the needy should be the sole motive of every citizen. People at the BIT Mesra
chapter of Rotary Club go the extra mile. Now a mainstay at the college, the club has achieved truly remarkable
feats. Prof. Prem Prakash has always been at the helm, be it any online event or some social visit. The Rotaract
Club of BIT MESRA has adopted the neighboring seven small villages to look after their welfare. The Club
in particular, has conducted a lot of social visits to the villages and has helped them with the sanitation and
education of the children of the villages. Rotaractors have kept themselves updated with the grass root level
problems of the neighboring villages. The Club believes that the children of the village should be taught with
the latest developments in the field of computer and internet. The club has also conducted regular health check-
up camps, blood donation camps, tree plantation drives within the campus for the students, professors and the
staff of Bit Mesra. On 14th August a candle light march was organized to commemorate the martyrs, who
fought for our Independence. On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, the club along with NSS organized a
cleanliness drive. The club has also conducted various online events on occasions like Humanitarian Day,
Friendship Day, Daughters Day etc. to make people realize the power of these relations in our day-to day life.
Exuberance and Esparanza are the two cultural events conducted by our club which sees huge participation.
Apart from these, we have four major events in the annual cultural fest i.e. BITOTSAV. Mr. and Miss Bitotsav
is a flagship event organized by us. The other three events are Foodomania, BIT Roadies and Treasure Chest
each of which sees a roaring footfall. Our aim at Rotaract will always be to make society a better place to live
in and to achieve it, each member gives its 110% and this year will not be any different.
Achievements of the club
1. We organize yearly Blood Donation Camps inside the campus as well as in Ranchi. People turnout in
huge numbers to donate blood.
2. Awareness Campaigns and Drives are organized on various social issues. Campaign on ' Sanitation
and Hygiene' and 'Cleanliness' have tremendously helped in improving these standards in adjacent
villages over the past few years.
3. Under our Literacy Mission, we adopted a school 'Rajkriyakrit Prathmik Vidyalaya'. We looked after
the basic needs of the students. The Club gave its heart and soul in resolving there day to day problems
and imparting them basic education.
4. Cultural Events such as the Lohri Night brings all the students under a roof where they can celebrate
and enjoy. Such events give students a much-needed break to rejuvenate themselves.
5. Last year the club received an award for 'Outstanding Social Service Performance' from the District
which outlines the efforts that the club has put in to improve the social standards of the society.

Brief Description of the Club

Formed by the Batch of 2010, with the objective to magnify the existing magnanimous scenario of sports &
adventure in our Institute, Sports & Adventure Club of Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra has succeeded in
getting students actively involved in its events. Our prime focus has always been to channelize the raw zeal
of students to get them to participate in our events which have tactfully rearranged rules to increase the
excitement & thrill quotient. Sports and Adventure Club promotes sports among the students of BIT Mesra
and help them to flourish in this field, providing necessary resources as well as guidance to do so. Our main
objectives being:
● The rearrangement of the rules of any game to make it more interesting and challenging.
● To develop skills relevant to disaster management that could prove helpful in the catastrophic hour.
● To develop leadership skills by providing opportunities for students to organize and manage the

The Student Mentorship Program (SMP) would be a club that would help promote interaction amongst

a horde of opportunities for students in the form of internships, research projects and social initiatives. To
provide a vibrant forum and platform that promotes interaction, network and brotherhood among the various

professional goals. To facilitate an activity and bondage of the student’s mater. To endeavor and to render
Voluntary assistance and services to contribute to institute’s vision of being recognized as amongst the world’s
leading institution in academic excellence in research, innovation and human values.
Self-Development Program
We conduct a variety of workshops, namely Yes!+, Mind Matters session, Youth Leadership and Training
Program for the welfare of students. These workshops help the students deal with academic pressure and stress
pertaining to personal lives. It promotes an emotional harmony resulting in happier individuals.
Achievements of the club
Since its inception, Sports and Adventure Club has been majorly involved in all the sports activities of the
college. It contributes immensely in organising Vajra, the annual Inter-College sports fest of BIT Mesra. It
also plays a key role in organising the Annual Athletics Meet. Adding to it, Sports and Adventure Club keeps
organizing formal and informal events, to keep the spirit of sports alive, throughout the year. Futsal is one
such event which witnesses mass participation. It being our flagship event, is not only played as a game but
enjoyed as an emotion.

UNESQUO is the official speaking and quizzing body of BIT Mesra. The club is driven by the belief that

cornerstones to a successful future. The members of the club strive to bring the shyest of students to their shores
and turn them into potentially revolutionary leaders. Known for its intriguing events, the club's calendar is
dotted with delicacies of sorts. Ranging from the frivolous and witty 'Just a Minute' to intense and demanding
sessions of 'The General Quiz', the club's events make sure that participants are exposed to a spectrum of
opportunities, helping them to imbibe the confidence and poise they need to establish themselves in the
professional world. UNESQUO is the place to be if you wish to shape yourself up as a leader, meanwhile having
fun along the way.

Achievements of the club

1. Spring Fest 16/17: Participated and placed 5th in the Mary Bucknell Trophy General Quiz.
2. Tata Crucible Campus Quiz: Runners up and received a cash prize of Rs.35000. Top ten featured 5
teams from BIT.
3. Think India Quiz: Winners and received the prestigious award from the Chief Minister of Jharkhand
Mr. Raghubar Das.
4. Sweden Memorial Quiz (Kolkata): Participated and placed fourth among teams from all over the
country.
