Various engineering college students are getting benifitted through Internship

trainings during summer vacation. This Institute is serving as the bridge between
Industry and Academics by way of CSR of the Engineers.
Satisfactory trainings are rendered to APTRANSCO/APDISCOMs making the
Institute as Corporate Training Center in the vicinity of Capital fulfilling the knowledge
base and skill needs of all power utilities and power sector as a whole..
As a part of Skill development to the employees of workmen cadre and Social
responsibility, APGENCO is going to establish Industrial trade centre at APGENCO
training Institute for development in the trades of Welding, Fitting, Electrical wiring and
instrumentation.
Transformer oil laboratory is meeting the requirements of 13 districts of Andhra
Pradesh - APGENCO utilities &private parties and very soon this is going to be NABL
accredited.NABL accredition of Energy meter laboratory got extended upto 2019.This
EM lab and Tan Delta testing are serving the needs of APGENCO and private parties as
well.
Training policy adopted vide GOONo……………………………….emphasized the
need for 4days of compulsory training to all the employees of APGENCO like Engineers
, Accounts, P&G Security / Fire services etc. In this regard, all the Station heads are
requested to depute employees to training for fulfilling the Training needs make best
use of learning facilities to develop ourselves and the organisation in tandem.
 APGENCO Training Institute is plays a vital role in the technical and economic
growth of the organisation. It has been conducting training programs in the areas of
power generation for the Engineers, Supervisors, technicians & non-technical
personnel, Management training programmes and also various educational
programmes to the society as well.

To keep our trainees abreast with latest technologies, the training infrastructure
is also being upgraded. All out efforts are being made to ensure that the courses offered
by APGENCO Training Institute stand out and meet the Power Sector needs.

State of the art Operator training Simulators of Customised versions of 600 MW,
500 MW, 250MW and 210 MW plants of APGENCO are coming up at APGENCO
Training Institute. These are real time full scope PC based thermal power plant training
Simulators for carrying out Off-Job Hands on Training and enriches our Engineers as
Full-fledged Power Engineers.
