Course Objectives:
This course will create awareness on commercial cultivation practices of horticultural crops using technology, which is hi-tech horticulture production. The
student will be able to understand the importance and production technology of fruit crops, vegetable crops, spices, medicinal and aromatic plants, plantation
crops. The student will also get familiar with the production technology of flowers, landscape designing and lawn.

 Understand the importance of fruits, its production technology using the latest technology and also methods of its protection
 Understand the importance of vegetables, production technology using the latest technology
 Understand the importance of flowers, loose and cut flowers its production technology using the latest technology
 Familiarity with ornamental gardening and landscape designing
 Understand the importance of spices, medicinal and aromatic plants and plantation crops and its production technology
 Understand the knowledge of high value crops

Pedagogy for Course Delivery:

The class will be taught using theory and case based method. Each and every method will be discussed in detail and will conduct many interactive
learning sessions for better understanding. Lecture and discussion on applications of the topics covered.
