Year 9 Term Rationale The Year 9 Term Two Humanities and Social Sciences course is a comprehensive course that provides students with the
opportunity to develop their strength and understanding within the specialisation area of Economics in accordance with
the Western Australian Curriculum.

Building on knowledge of specialisation and trade and skills developed in the previous years students will be continuing
to develop their understanding of the concepts of scarcity, making choices, interdependence, and allocation and markets
in Term 2 for Economics as they are provided with the opportunity to examine the connections between consumers,
businesses and government, both within Australia and with other countries, through the flow of goods, services and
resources and the roles and responsibilities of the participants in the changing workplace on both a local and global level.

Scope and Sequence The program is broken down into topics within the study of Economics in Term 2. These topics range in length from 1 to 4
