I had never been camping before I met my best friend, Jacklyn. I didn’t know that
camping meant sleeping out in nature, in a tent. I guess I didn’t really think about it at all.
We were off to a nearby campground. We drove in and paid for our site. It was
beautiful. There were ducks and a small lake and up on the hill there was a pool and small
store if you needed anything.
At dusk we lit our fire. It was very nice and pleasant. However I had a small allergy
problem with mosquitoes. I hate bugs, and mosquitoes seem to be the worse, due to their
stinging and being irritating. It was awful, but the camp fire was nice. Jacklyn told me about
her camping stories. They were really interestin
After a full night of stories and fire, we settled in out the tent. We slept in our sleeping
ags on the ground. To my surprise, the ground was not wet, and we had a small air mattress
under us. Of course, the mattress wasn’t as comfortable as mine at home but it was no
problem.
Then in the middle of the night I heard scuffling just out of our tent. I woke Jacklyn
and I told her that there was a bear in our camp. She told me to just go back to sleep. I really
didn’t know that there were bears in local camp grounds.
The next morning I woke to the same noises and found the culprit. It was
ducks. I felt so stupid. To this day we still talked about my first camping trip. It
was a very memorable experience

FIREFLIES

Fireflies are just name. They are actually very cool insects. And they are not
even flies, they are beetles. They have a way sending out light signals every now and then.
If you see them at night think it’s brightly lit Christmas tree. That’s kind of light these
fireflies produce.
Fireflies has transparent abdomen. There are cell of crystals or chemical
substances inside it which get broken down enzymes. Some energy is released in the form
of light. However, the light they send out doesn’t have heat. It’s cold.
The fireflies send out the light signals at fixed intervals. And the purpose behind
it is to attract beetles for mating. But one firefly’s signal is different from another’s
depending on its sex and the type of family it belongs to. If a firefly sends a signal at a
fixed interval but gets a response either too soon or too late, it will ignore the signal. It is
like a perfect dance sequence. If you are faster or slower than your partner, the dance fails

Making colored and scented candles is really quick and simple. What's more, you'll
save so much money. If making candle is easy, why do you ever buy one from a shop?
What you need in making candle are wax, moulds, wick, dye discs, essential oils, and a
double boiler. All these materials are available from craft shops. Or if you do not want
to buy them, you can improvise with an old saucepan, Pyrex jug, or even a sturdy can,
in a pot of water.
After providing the materials, follow this procedure or instruction in making candles!
First of all, melt the wax. All wax has a flash point, so to prevent it bursting into flames;
you must melt it in a double boiler, with water in the bottom of the pan.
Then, prepare the mould with the wick. Thread the wick through the mould and make
sure that you leave a good few centimeters sticking out of the hole in the bottom.
After that, add the scent. If you want a scented candle, add a few drops of essential oil
to the melted wax. You can use any essential oil you like, as long as it doesn't contain
water. Next step, pour the wax into the mould. Try and tip the wax into the mould
quickly, all in one go, to minimize spillage and air bubbles. Then, release the bubbles
and top it up. Releasing the air bubbles will eventually make the candle sink, so you
will need to top it up with more melted wax.
Finally, remove it from the mould. After four or five hours, the candle can be taken out
of its mould. Your candle is now ready for display. Remember, you must always leave it
for a day before lighting it.

A Wolf in Sheep Clothing

There was a big wolf. He is waiting for a chance to steal a sheep, but the shepherd and
his dog continuously chased him away. After a week, the wolf began to get very hungry, and
thought, “I must find a way to get close to the sheep.” It was by luck that he found a sheep’s
skin. He carefully pulled the skin over his body so that none of his grey fur showed under the
white sheep skin. Then he could walk in easily and now he was in the middle of the herd.

The big wolf knew that the most delicious sheep were the lambs, or the young sheep.
He then imitated the voice of an ewe or a mother sheep. He could easily cheat a lamb who
thought that he was its mother. And, the lamb followed him to the woods. There he eventually
ate the innocent lamb. For many days, he could eat as many lambs as his stomach could take.
The big wolf got bigger and bigger every day. Now he looked like the biggest sheep on earth.

One day the shepherd was planning to hold a party. He would invite many relatives and
friends. So, he decided to slaughter the biggest sheep from the herd. The shepherd approached
the biggest sheep very slowly and carefully. Guess who it was! The wolf, of course, who was
fully covered by the white sheep skin! But the wolf was so fat that he could not run and fight
for his safety. Very easily the shepherd slaughtered him, chopped him, and then cooked him for
the big party.
