Ethernet RFID Reader User Guide

Introduction
Ethernet RFID Reader is based on TCP/IP, can read ID,IC or HID cards。This readers can
easily connect to network(LAN,WAN,MAN).Installation is very easy. It meets the needs of M2M

According to the different card types can divided into three:

1) ETHIDR: it can read the 125khz ID CARDS
2) ETHICR: it can read the 13.56Mhz IC card, such as Mifare S50,S70,etc.
3) ETHHIDR: it can read some HID cards,
Include PROX CARDⅡ, PROXKEYⅡ,PROXCARD PLUS

Interface
This RJ45 integrated network filter and tow LED(one indicate the LINK status, another is
rx/tx status. ),The pins of the RJ45 as follow.
Command
There are two commands. The command value sends in Hex
CMD0
Drive the buzzer(this command has no responds)

This ‘N’ means the length of the voice. With value between 0 to 255.
Example: we can send hex value 00 01 FF FF to drive the buzzer with a short sound.
CMD1
This command used to read the ID of the readers, you can give a unique ID to one reader with
the soft of configure tools

Response of CMD1

The 2nd to 6th bytes is a 5-byte reader’s ID, with value in hex..
Data Format
When then card near the reader, a data packet uploaded to the sever or client.The data is in
the following format:
Format 1: Data in hex value, the data package include the reader’s ID and card’s ID, As
fallowing:
0th to 4th（5BYTE） 5th to 9th(5 BYTE)
Reader’s ID Card’s ID
Read’s ID: This ID can be changed use the config tools. Like this:

Card’s ID: always use the last 4 byte. We can convert the 4 byte from hex to dec.
Format 2: Data in ASSIC value, the data package as following:

STX(1byte) Card’s ID CR(1byte) LF(1byte) ETX(1byte)

(10BYTE)
0x02 10byte ASSIC 0x0D 0x0A 0x03
Use this format, first we can covert the 10 byte ASSIC to hex value. HID reader can only use
this format.
 How to choose one of the data format? Use the config tools like:

How to set the configurations of the reader.

First ,Connect the reader to the network.
Second, Open the config tools and click the “SCAN” button,an then you can see the
reader’s IP and MAC.like this:
 Third, Modify the parameters of the interface and then you should download it to the reader use
the “Connnect”and“CONFIG” button.As:
a) Double-click the IP in the DeviceIP list area, then the connect button can be click,
as follow:

b) Click the connect button,and then click the CONFIG button, you can see the
configurations will be download to the reader.
