PREFACE

In the following report, I have presented the work done during my summer internship at National
Commission for Protection of Child Rights, New Delhi, under the supervision of the Mr.
Rajnikant.

In this report, I have presented a brief overview of the tasks completed during the period of
internship with commission. I would also like to thank members, chairperson of NCPCR for
providing me the opportunity to attend this internship program and adhere this responsibility
with working environment.

I am also very thankful to Rajnikant Sir and Harsha Mam upon his continuous guidance
throughout the internship training and provide me the opportunity to learn and understand the
project related complaints regarding Child Beggary. I am also very thankful to other staff for
their cooperation during my internship.

I sincerely hope and believe that this internship will become mutually beneficial for me. It will
become an exceptional part of my professional curriculum and will work as a catalyst for my
future career advancement.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
The internship opportunity I had with National Commission for Protection of Child Rights was a
great chance for learning and professional development. Therefore, I consider myself as a very
lucky individual as I was provided with an opportunity to be a part of it.

I am also grateful for having a chance to meet so many wonderful people who led me though this
internship period.

Bearing in mind previous I am using this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude and special
thanks to the Rajnikant Sir, Harsha Ma’am who in spite of being extraordinarily busy with their
duties, took time out to hear, guide and keep me on the correct path and allowing me to carry out
my internship at their esteemed organization.

I perceive as this opportunity as a big milestone in my career development. I will strive to use
gained skills and knowledge in the best possible way, and I will continue to work on their
improvement, in order to attain desired career objectives. Hope to continue cooperation with all
of you in the future.

❖ 3rd June 2019
• Today I joined the office situated on the 5th floor of Chanderlok Building,
Janpath.
• Was introduced to Harsha ma’am and Rajnikant Sir.
• We were introduced to the working of NCPCR and were asked about any idea
regarding function of NCPCR.
• Registration process was done.
• Read THE COMMISSIONS FOR PROTECTION OF CHILD RIGHTS ACT,
2005 and got to know how National Commission for Protection of Child Rights
was established, functions, composition etc.

❖ 4th June 2019


• Description of the pilot project on Child Beggary by Ajeesh Sir which will be
going to be held on June 10.
• Described various details of project such as within 0.5 Km to 1Kmradius of
Chanderlok building have almost about 300 to 400 child beggars.

❖ 6th June 2019


• Studying various acts such as POSCO Act, Juvenile Justice Act
• Discussion with Rajnikant Sir for the topic of project work
• I along with other interns was allotted project on Child Beggary

❖ 7th June 2019


• Discussed several points with Rajnikant Sir related to POSCO Act, Right to
Education and Child Labour issue.
• Guidance on the framing of project report

❖ 10th June 2019


• Discussed with team members for the areas to visit and division of the work.
• Discussed with Rajnikant Sir for the key areas to be visited for project

❖ 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th June 2019


• Started Field Work
• Collection of Data
• Visiting the areas and NCPCR office
❖ 17th, 18th June 2019
• Searching for various helpful articles for research
• Articles were collected and read to gain more information about project

❖ 19th, 20th, 21st June 2019


• Profiling of Beggars
• Gathering of information related to the issues of child beggars and reason for
begging

❖ 24th, 25th June 2019


• Brainstorming for recommendations
• Recommendations for both organized and un-organized begging
• Visiting NCPCR Office
• Discussion about Project Work Compilation

• Preparation of Project Report
• Submission for Reviewing
