ADMA-OPCO has developed a Pipeline Replacement Strategy and Plan for progressive replacement of
aging subsea Pipelines network, which sets clear directions and expectations in order to create focus on
key priorities for sustainable production and expansion programs from the existing fields, whilst
maximizing economic life and value of our facilities with Zero Hydrocarbon Leak Policy. All future infield
lines replacement shall be based on quantitative more deterministic approach by full internal
inspection/selective validation, Fitness for Services (FFS), the deterministic Remnant Life Assessment
and business impacts. Based upon the above directives ADMA-OPCO intensified Intelligent Pigging
campaigns.
The pre-engineering survey shall cover pipeline crossings and platform approach surveys for all the
twenty six (26) pipelines.
The scope of work under the present campaign was to carry out General Visual Inspection Survey (GVI)
using observation class ROV (Seaeye Panther or equivalent).
NPCC provided all vessels, equipment, apparatus, labour, transport, materials and tools to perform the
required scope of work as defined in this report. This include all clearances, permits and licences for
vessels, equipment and personnel with respect to customs, immigration, visas and other requirements of
the UAE government and other local authorities.
All the proposed sail lines were produced by the On-line Surveyor and presented by the Party Chief prior
to the commencement of the survey works. The Party Chief along with other survey team members
ensured that adequate coverage was achieved.
Digital video recording system was integrated with the surface navigation positioning system and
provided complete coverage of the area of survey. Regular navigational fix positions, combined with the
USBL data were used to determine the position.
All survey works have been carried out from a DP ROV survey vessel. An observation class ROV
(Seaeye panther or equivalent) along the proposed and existing routes.
Crossing surveys are aimed to determine the crossing details viz. crossing location, orientation,
existing pipeline condition (exposed or buried), height of the pipeline at the crossing location, damage,
if any, sleeper / mattress configuration / positions(if any)etc. of pipeline at the location.
Survey shall be carried out along the proposed pipeline route from the crossing location uptoa
minimum distance of 100mts on either side of the crossing location, in case of multiplecrossing 150m
on either side of the existing pipelines / cables at the extremities of thecrossing shall be surveyed.
Vertical Datum
All bathymetric data shall be reduced to Chart Datum (CD) using COMPANY supplied tidal
predictions for ZAKUM field.
Depths
The pre-engineering survey shall cover pipeline crossings. The total survey scope has been
divided into fifeteen (15) radials. However, the following sections describe the survey results
obtained from the pre-engineering survey in Radial no.
