Objective:
The students will identify fractions based on information presented in a word problem.
Materials:
Set of 12 word problem cards
Set of 12 fraction cards
Activity:
Students will work to match a word problem card to the correct fraction card.
1. Lay out all cards on a table with words and fractions facing up.
2. Select a word problem card and read the problem.
3. Using the information in the word problem, select the correct fraction card.
4. Continue until all cards are used.
5. Peer evaluation
